Con l’arrivo dell’estate arrivano i trekking all’insegna dell’ecoturismo sviluppati nell’ambito del progetto LIFE WolfAlps EU. Lo scopo è quello di portare i camminatori alla scoperta della biodiversità naturalistica e culturale delle nostre montagne.
Il lupo, animale carismatico al vertice della catena alimentare è infatti trasformato in una opportunità per fruire in modo lento e sostenibile i territori in cui vive: ammirando e conoscendo la fauna, flora e geologia dei territori in cui vive il predatore, ma anche e soprattutto le attività delle persone che vivono e operano tra le montagne In Lombardia, l’estate del 2023 porterà i camminatori attraverso gli alpeggi dove vivono i lupi della Val Belviso, nel Parco delle Orobie Valtellinesi; a incontrare i pastori delle valli Brembana, Seriana e Scalve nel Parco delle Orobie Bergamasche; sulle tracce dei primi branchi nelle terre dell’alto Oglio e della “Guerra Bianca” tra il Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio e il Parco dell’Adamello. Dal 12 al 15 luglio un trekking di quattro giorni nel cuore del Parco Naturale del Marguareis, per scoprire tutti i segreti di una delle aree carsiche più importanti e spettacolari delle Alpi. Un trekking tra antiche vie del sale, strade militari e sentieri utilizzati dai pastori ci riempiremo gli occhi di panorami ariosi camminando a ridosso dello spartiacque alpino, ora sul versante rivolto al Piemonte, ora su quello che guarda verso il mare, senza mancare l’ascesa a Punta Marguareis, la vetta più elevata delle Alpi Liguri. Dal 24 al 26 agosto nel Parco delle Alpi Marittime è in programma un trekking a stella di tre giorni, dedicato agli escursionisti esperti. Se invece optate per un giro in giornata, a luglio e agosto vi attendono escursioni in giornata nel Parco delle Orobie Bergamasche alla scoperta del formaggio in malga e della biodiversità dei pascoli alpini, e nel Parco delle Orobie Valtellinesi, tra la Val Belviso e l’Alpe Pedroria. Dal 2 all’8 luglio 2023, nella splendida cornice della Vallunga di Tartano, nel cuore verde delle Alpi Orobie Valtellinesi, giovani esploratori ed esploratrici dai 9 ai 12 anni vivranno una settimana alla scoperta di boschi, pascoli e laghetti dalle acque cristalline
Per tutta l’estate ci saranno poi una serie di attività ed eventi correlati alla mostra Nella mente del lupo (visitabile a Cuneo fino a inizio settembre!) del Parco fluviale Gesso Stura.

Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
