AREZZO – Si è tenuta giovedì sera, presso il salone del CAS di Villa Severi, l’assemblea pubblica promossa dal comitato di Villa Severi( promotore della petizione spontanea che chiede manutenzione e salvaguardia del Parco di Villa Severi). I portavoce del comitato, Carlo Cardeti e Francesco Tinti hanno dichiarato:
“Ci ha riempito il cuore vedere l’enorme partecipazione dei cittadini rimasti anche fuori dal salone a causa dell’enorme afflusso di persone. Ringraziamo gli assessori Casi e Scapecchi che hanno ascoltato ed illustrato le intenzioni dell’ Amministrazione comunale riguardo il parco. Il primo ha promesso, come richiesto dai cittadini, una prossima manutenzione delle aree verdi e la nuova messa a dimora dei giochi per bambini. L’assessore Scapecchi ha potuto verificare una netta contrarietà degli intervenuti al passaggio in gestione privata dell’area del campo da calcio ed annesso parcheggio: una marea di persone, che si è espressa chiaramente con l’intento di preservare uno dei luoghi di Arezzo più belli, più vivi, più inclusivi e più carichi di storia. Sono stati tanti gli interventi e le testimonianze, dai ragazzi più giovani fruitori delle aree sportive, agli utenti del CAS, ai rappresentanti delle tante associazioni, ad alcuni anziani che hanno raccontato la storie e il legame inscindibile degli aretini con questo Parco dall’enorme valore storico, ambientale, architettonico e sociale. Il messaggio è stato molto chiaro: se qualcuno ha legittimamente l’intenzione di aprire nuovi impianti sportivi a pagamento è libero di farlo, ma non a Villa Severi che appartiene agli aretini e che noi, tutti insieme, siamo fermamente intenzionati a difendere.” Una nota stonata della serata è stata la totale assenza della Provincia dalla quale i cittadini si aspettavano informazioni sulla manutenzione e futura gestione delle opere edilizie a Villa Severi. Concludono i portavoce: “non è un risultato né banale, né scontato, aver raccolto più di 1600 firme in soli 12 giorni, attraverso il passaparola e senza aver ancora nemmeno organizzato banchetti di raccolta o eventi pubblici. Invitiamo tutti i cittadini che vogliono sostenerci a venirci a trovare a Villa Severi, la raccolta firme continua. Una cosa è certa: noi forti del sostegno della popolazione, andremo avanti fino a quando sarà necessario.”

Today, I went to the beach with my children.
