La Caritas diocesana e la diocesi di Arezzo-Cortona-Sansepolcro per l’occasione hanno organizzato una raccolta fondi per aiutare le famiglie e le attività delle diocesi della Toscana colpite dall’alluvione del 2 novembre scorso. Le raccolte avverranno presso le parrocchie o tramite versamenti sull’apposito conto corrente BPER intestato a diocesi di Arezzo-Cortona-Sansepolcro il cui iban è IT15P0538714102000042123056 indicando nella causale “Alluvione Toscana”
“Abbiamo bisogno di una giornata che ci aiuti a mettere a tema il povero e l’esigenza di accompagnarci al cammino dei poveri – dice il vescovo Andrea Migliavacca –. Un’attenzione da vivere non solo nella giornata celebrativa ma come uno stile quotidiano, umano e di Chiesa. Vogliamo vivere questa giornata anche con il segno di questa raccolta fondi per gli alluvionati della Toscana, nel desiderio che il cammino con i poveri possa coinvolgere tutta la comunità. Colgo l’occasione anche per ringraziare i volontari, tra cui tantissimi giovani anche del nostro territorio, che si sono dati da fare nei giorni dell’emergenza per aiutare gli alluvionati”. Nella domenica che precede la festa di Gesù Cristo Re dell’Universo siamo chiamati ad accogliere il dono e a rinnovare un duplice impegno: vivere la povertà e servire i poveri. “Non distogliere lo sguardo dal povero” è un’espressione tratta dal libro di Tobia (4,7) dove si racconta di come Tobia, nel momento della prova, scopra la propria povertà, che lo rende capace di riconoscere i poveri.Papa Francesco, nel suo messaggio, fa riferimento al momento storico che stiamo vivendo. Esso non favorisce l’attenzione verso i più poveri. A maggior ragione siamo tutti chiamati a riconoscerci poveri e a metterci al servizio gli uni degli altri.
