AREZZO – In occasione del centenario della morte del grande Maestro toscano Giacomo Puccini, si terrà il prossimo 5 settembre 2024 nella terrazza San Donato, uno spettacolo di musica, canto e narrazione; in contemporanea sarà visitabile anche una mostra collettiva di pittura dal 5 all’8 settembre 2024 nell’Atrio d’Onore della Provincia di Arezzo.
Ad organizzarli sono l’Associazione culturale musicale Puccini and Friends in Valtiberina in collaborazione con la Provincia di Arezzo, con l’obiettivo di approfondire i legami con il territorio aretino del grande musicista e compositore Giacomo Puccini, che quest’anno a un secolo dalla sua scomparsa, assume una maggior rilevanza. Un evento che vuol celebrare uno dei più grandi compositori italiani della storia, autore di capolavori assoluti, fra cui Madame Butterfly, Tosca, La bohème, Turandot, Manon Lescaut e tantissimi altri. Puccini ha saputo rappresentare come nessun altro i valori romantici e la nobiltà musicale espressa in tutto l’Occidente a cavallo tra la seconda metà dell’Ottocento e il primo ventennio del Novecento. Il Programma dell’evento che si svolgerà in Provincia, prevede giovedì 5 settembre alle ore 17,30 il taglio del nastro della mostra collettiva di pittura dedicata a Giacomo Puccini, e alle sue documentate frequentazioni della Alta Valle del Tevere per partecipare a memorabili battute di caccia. Dodici sono le tele realizzate da artisti contemporanei che operano in questa area della provincia aretina per omaggiare le dodici opere composte dal grande Maestro. A seguire sempre il 5 settembre alle ore 19, dal Terrazzo San Donato del Palazzo della Provincia, uno spettacolo di parole, musica e canto, intratterrà il pubblico che passeggerà per le vie del centro cittadino di via Ricasoli. L’iniziativa che fa tappa ad Arezzo, già apprezzata a Sansepolcro e ad Anghiari, nei prossimi mesi, verrà portata anche a Lucca, città natale del compositore, grazie anche al contributo della Banca di Anghiari e Stia, Credito cooperativo, sempre sensibile e presente nel sostenere le proposte culturali del territorio.
