Progetto Ortocultura a Poggio Baldino a Sinalunga

SINALUNGA – Al via le attività per persone con disabilità graviIl progetto di “Ortocultura a Poggio Baldino – Coltiviamo il benessere” sarà gestito dal personale dell’APSP Istituto Maria Redditi e si svolgerà in un terreno adiacente alla RSA e CAP di Sinalunga. Attraverso l’ortoterapia è possibile sviluppare dei progetti riabilitativi in grado di migliorare il benessere psicofisico.

L’A.P.S.P. Istituto Maria Redditi, da tempo impegnata nel gestire i servizi alla persona e alle famiglie attraverso le attività socio-sanitarie e assistenziali, nonché alla realizzazione di servizi a elevato impatto sociale per la comunità locale e i cittadini, si fa promotrice del progetto ‘Ortocultura a Poggio Baldino – Coltiviamo il benessere’. Il progetto sarà destinato a persone con disabilità grave prive del sostegno familiare, in continuità con i principi del ‘Dopo di Noi’ che si traducono in: favorire il benessere, piena inclusione sociale e autonomia delle persone con disabilità grave. Il progetto di ortocultura sarà sviluppato in una porzione di terreno adiacente alla RSA e CAP di Sinalunga, di proprietà dell’Istituto e già pronto per l’uso. La programma si svolgerà su un totale di due/tre ore al giorno per tre giorni a settimana e prevede il supporto e il coinvolgimento degli utenti nella costruzione di una serra, nella predisposizione e messa a punto del sistema di irrigazione della serra, nella costruzione dei cassoni in legno dove saranno coltivati gli ortaggi secondo le indicazioni e l’aiuto di un esperto addetto. Il progetto prevede poi un’attività di apprendimento circa la flora autoctona, piante officinali e possibilità di collaborazione con le Farmacie Comunali di Sinalunga per un corso intensivo circa la preparazione di infusi. Un’attività poi sarà dedicata alla coltivazione e prevederà l’aiuto di un agronomo, che all’inizio del progetto fornirà indicazioni operative sulle modalità di coltivazione e di cura del terreno. Infine con gli ortaggi raccolti, andando a utilizzare la cucina del plesso, verranno preparati piatti per un’attività di educazione alimentare dove i ragazzi potranno comprendere il ciclo della vita di un prodotto di ortofrutta.  Gli obiettivi del progetto sono quelli di promuovere nella comunità l’ortocultura e l’orto urbano non più solo come un pezzo di terra da coltivare ma piuttosto come realizzazione di un’area di aggregazione, di scambio sociale e intergenerazionale, di didattica ambientale e di crescita culturale. Un punto di incontro tra persone differenti dove possono mettere in gioco le proprie conoscenze e le proprie esperienze, dove passare il tempo e crescere in modo sano e allo stesso tempo utilizzare ambienti, spazi e servizi già presenti nella struttura in modo da valorizzare la cultura agricolo-ambientale del territorio e un’area pubblica che si trova in un contesto storico e paesaggistico di particolare pregio. Il progetto prevede anche la collaborazione e il coordinamento con i soggetti del Terzo settore e per la realizzazione di un progetto strettamente connesso a percorsi di integrazione tra generazioni giovani/famiglia/anziani che presentano problematiche di disagio sociale. L’ortoterapia può essere considerata uno strumento riabilitativo in grado di migliorare il benessere psicofisico e, grazie al contatto diretto con la natura, dar voce alla persona aiutandola nella disabilità nelle sue più svariate forme, dalle più lievi alle più invalidanti. “E’ un bel progetto – commenta Fausto Mugnai, presidente della ASP Istituto Maria Redditi di Sinalunga – Voglio ringraziare le nostre persone che hanno collaborato a pensarlo e realizzarlo.
