A febbraio l’arrivo del robot per protesi del ginocchio Anche l’ospedale Santa Margherita alla Fratta avrà il suo robot per effettuare interventi di chirurgia protesica al ginocchio. Il dispositivo arriverà a febbraio nella struttura ospedaliera di Cortona e permetterà di effettuare gli stessi interventi già effettuati con il robot all’ospedale di Arezzo.
«L’arrivo, a febbraio, del robot ci consentirà di eseguire anche a Cortona protesi di ginocchio con una precisione millimetrica e una corretta allocazione dei componenti – spiega il dr. Marco Zucchini -: la chirurgia robotica è ormai sempre più richiesta dai pazienti che devono sottoporsi ad intervento di chirurgia protesica proprio per i vantaggi che questa offre in termini di recupero post operatorio e tempi di degenza ridotti. Oggi sono pochi i casi in cui non si può ricorrere alla chirurgia robotica: è, infatti, sconsigliato nei casi in cui ci sono enormi deformità post traumatiche, quando siamo in presenza di una anatomia alterata che difficilmente riesce ad essere rielaborata dal programma e in caso di sostituzione di protesi». Intanto il 22 gennaio l’equipe del dr. Marco Zucchini, direttore UOSD Ortopedia dell’Ospedale di Cortona, ha effettuato il secondo intervento di protesi alla spalla, guidato da un sistema di navigazione robotica che consente di intervenire con estrema precisione nel posizionamento della protesi di spalla. «La tecnica che abbiamo impiegato anche alla Fratta ci consente di individuare con esattezza dove installare la protesi e di farlo in tempo reale mentre stiamo operando sul paziente – spiega il dr. Zucchini -. I rilevatori ci forniscono indicazioni precise sul posizionamento corretto della protesi inversa di spalla, cioè della componente glenoidea della protesi». «Si tratta di una innovazione importante – prosegue il responsabile dell’Ortopedia della Fratta – che permette di operare in modo corretto in spazi molto limitati con vantaggi considerevoli per il paziente. Realizzare e installare in modo corretto la componente glenoidea della protesi, infatti, garantisce una durata più lunga dell’impianto che si traduce anche in tempi di recupero più breve, una degenza limitata a due giorni durante la quale viene avviato il percorso di fisioterapia che il paziente proseguirà una volta tornato a casa. Installare correttamente una protesi significa inoltre riduzione del dolore e quindi meno accessi al pronto soccorso e meno visite specialistiche». «L’arrivo del robot è un importante traguardo per la struttura di Ortopedia dell’ospedale della Fratta – dichiara il dr. Pierfrancesco Perani, direttore Dipartimento Ortopedico e della Riabilitazione Asl Toscana Sud Est – che consentirà di eseguire, in casi selezionati, la protesica di ginocchio con migliore accuratezza e precisione rispetto allo strumentario standard. Il robot permette, infatti, un migliore posizionamento delle componenti protesiche ed un recupero dell’asse anatomico del ginochio. Una tecnologia già in essere su Arezzo, Montevarchi e Grosseto e che è in continua espansione così come la chirurgia navigata robotica, per la protesi di spalla inversa, che viene già eseguita da anni nella AOUS di Siena e che adesso è disponibile nelle varie ortopedie della Asl Tse».
