Maria Cesira Coletti è nata a Fabbrecce, il 3 Marzo 1925, ed è sempre vissuta nella frazione fino al momento in cui non potendo più provvedere a se stessa e non avendo figli, ha deciso insieme ai suoi nipoti di recarsi presso l’istituto delle Suore Salesiane.

Maestra fin dagli anni ’50 ha sempre insegnato nelle scuole elementari raggiungendo anche le località più lontane e impervie del vasto territorio comunale: quando nei primi anni di insegnamento si metteva al servizio della comunità non ha esitato ad accettare un incarico presso il piccolo nucleo urbano di San Giovanni in Vignolle e con i pochi mezzi pubblici a disposizione e tanta voglia di insegnare camminava per chilometri pur di raggiungere tale località mettendo a volte a repentaglio anche l’incolumità personale visti i luoghi selvaggi e le strade impervie che percorreva. Dopo questa impegnativa esperienza non si è mai sottratta nel mettersi a disposizione delle comunità tifernati specialmente quelle nella zona sud\ovest del territorio. Negli ultimi 20 anni della sua attività di insegnamento Maria Cesira è stata la “maestra” della scuola elementare di San Secondo lasciando un ricordo indelebile nella comunità per le sue doti professionali e anche soprattutto per le sue doti umane, peculiarità che anche oggi gli vengono riconosciute da tutti quei alunni ormai cresciuti che hanno avuto la fortuna di poterla avere come insegnante. Per questa grande occasione si sono riuniti i familiari, su iniziativa dei nipoti, Giuseppe ed Antonio Coletti, rispettivamente, noto cardiochirurgo a livello nazionale, cavaliere dell’ordine al merito della Repubblica e architetto e riferimento del settore tecnico del comune per tanti anni: “noi come nipoti non possiamo dire altro che nostra zia Maria Cesira è stata sempre buona, generosa e capace di aiutare tutta la nostra famiglia pur avendo avuto vicissitudini non proprio generose per lei. Suo marito morì dopo soli due anni dal matrimonio ma lei non si è lasciata andare alla disperazione ma è sempre stata a disposizione della scuola e della famiglia senza mai risparmiarsi. Questa è stata Maria Cesira, un donna forte, generosa e mai rassegnata”. Anche il sindaco Luca Secondi ha partecipato alla festa, assieme all’avvocato Benedetta Paolieri, ed ha consegnato a Maria Cesira una targa ricordo. “I nostri anziani – ha detto il sindaco – rappresentano una straordinaria risorsa umana ed un vanto per la comunità locale, punto di riferimento per tutti noi ed in particolare per le giovani generazioni. La storia di Maria Cesira, del traguardo di vita che ha raggiunto dei valori che ancora oggi trasmette alla sua famiglia e alla comunità in cui vive sono la testimonianza concreta da cui ogni giorno ripartire. Buon compleanno”. Attualmente a Città di Castello sono 22 gli ultracentenari: 19 femmine e 3 maschi.
