MONTEPULCIANO (SI) – Domenica 27 aprile 2025 si apre il nuovo Anno Contradaiolo del Bravìo delle Botti di Montepulciano La cerimonia inaugurale del Bravìo delle Botti di Montepulciano 2025 prenderà il via alle ore 9:00 con il corteo storico che partirà dal Palazzo Comunale di Montepulciano per raggiungere il Santuario di Sant’Agnese. A seguire, le otto Contrade renderanno omaggio alla tradizione con l’esibizione di sbandieratori e tamburini, in un’atmosfera carica di storia, appartenenza e identità

Il Bravìo delle Botti di Montepulciano 2025 prende avvio: domenica 28 aprile, a partire dalle ore 9:00, darà solenne inizio all’Anno Contradaiolo 2024.
Il primo appuntamento di un lungo e appassionato lavoro del gruppo organizzatore, impegnato da mesi nella preparazione di questa storica ricorrenza.
Numerosi saranno gli eventi e le iniziative che accompagneranno la comunità poliziana verso l’attesissima corsa del Bravìo che dal 1974 – grazie alla visione di Don Marcello Del Balio – rappresenta il cuore pulsante della tradizione e dell’identità cittadina.

L’Anno Contradaiolo, come ormai da tradizione, si apre nell’ultimo fine settimana di aprile, in occasione della festività dedicata a Sant’Agnese, patrona di Montepulciano. Domenica 27 aprile, a partire dalle ore 9:00, il corteo storico, composto dalle autorità cittadine, dal Magistrato delle Contrade e dai rappresentanti delle otto contrade, muoverà dal Palazzo Comunale, snodandosi lungo le vie del centro fino a raggiungere il Santuario di Sant’Agnese.

Alle ore 10:00 sarà celebrata la Santa Messa in onore della patrona. Durante il rito si terrà la suggestiva cerimonia di apertura della teca che custodisce le spoglie di Sant’Agnese, momento simbolico e profondamente sentito dalla comunità. A conclusione della funzione religiosa, il cerimoniale proseguirà con l’esibizione degli sbandieratori e dei tamburini delle otto contrade, che con il loro tributo renderanno omaggio alla tradizione e al legame profondo che unisce Montepulciano alle sue radici.

Il primo atto della storica manifestazione di Montepulciano rappresenta per tutta la comunità un momento carico di emozione e significato, è l’istante in cui la cittadina torna a respirare l’atmosfera unica del Bravìo delle Botti, rinnovando quel senso di appartenenza che accompagnerà i poliziani fino a domenica 30 agosto, quando le botti torneranno a rotolare lungo le vie del centro storico nel culmine della manifestazione.

Alla cerimonia inaugurale prenderanno parte il Sindaco di Montepulciano Michele Angiolini, la Reggitrice del Magistrato delle Contrade Irene Bettollini,  i Reggitori e il popolo delle otto Contrade di Montepulciano, testimoni dell’impegno condiviso nel custodire e valorizzare una delle tradizioni più sentite della comunità.
