Domenica 29 giugno arrivano ad Arezzo i 22 studenti americani e 5 italiani selezionati per partecipare alla residenza intensiva di Opera Seme International Voice Program, il programma di alta formazione inserito all’interno di Opera Seme Festival. La manifestazione, giunta quest’anno alla sua terza edizione, è ideata e organizzata da Spazio Seme, centro artistico e culturale attivo nel cuore della città, quest’anno co-diretto insieme a Oida Orchestra instabile di Arezzo
Gli studenti americani provengono da diverse zone degli Stati Uniti e da alcune delle più rinomate università musicali: South Carolina University, Fisk University (Tennessee), Chapman University (California), Arizona State University, Wichita State University (Kansas), South Dakota University, Boston University, Bethel University (Minnesota), Baylor University (Washington), Ithaca College (New York). Molti di loro sono già laureati o attivi in ambito musicale e performativo. Durante il mese di permanenza ad Arezzo, i partecipanti saranno coinvolti in un percorso intensivo che combina studio, pratica artistica e crescita personale. Il programma è rivolto a cantanti, danzatori, strumentisti e musicisti – con particolare attenzione ai giovani – e mira a sviluppare competenze artistiche e pratiche, come la creatività, la consapevolezza vocale e corporea, la gestione personale e la disciplina musicale. Il calendario prevede lezioni di lingua italiana, masterclass e vocal coaching con docenti e artisti internazionali, life coaching e preparazione di opere liriche, il tutto culminante in eventi e produzioni aperte al pubblico durante il festival.
Opera Seme Festival 2025 si svolgerà ad Arezzo dal 21 al 26 luglio.
In occasione degli spettacoli gli studenti americani si esibiranno in celebri pagine del repertorio operistico, accompagnati da OIDA – Orchestra Instabile di Arezzo. Condivideranno il palco con giovani cantanti italiani, selezionati per la prima volta tramite audizioni nazionali: sebbene già in passato il festival abbia ospitato interpreti italiani, questa è la prima edizione in cui la partecipazione avviene attraverso un bando competitivo nazionale. I selezionati sono Chiara Giambona da Milano, Eleonora de Berardinis Drudi da Ascoli Piceno e Giada Maria Zanzi da Bologna a cui si affiancano Raffaello Brutti e Viola Bambini che hanno partecipato al programma “Le Stanze dell’Opera” sotto la direzione del M° Mario Cassi. Con questa edizione, Opera Seme conferma la sua vocazione internazionale e formativa, offrendo alla città di Arezzo un’esperienza culturale di alto livello che unisce professionisti, giovani talenti e la cittadinanza. Il festival cresce anche grazie ai partner che ne rendono possibile la realizzazione: Comune di Arezzo, Fondazione Guido d’Arezzo, Confcommercio, Sandy Caffè, Coingas. Inoltre, il Club per l’UNESCO di Arezzo, in occasione del riconoscimento dell’opera lirica italiana come patrimonio immateriale dell’umanità UNESCO (2023), ha istituito una borsa di studio per favorire la creatività e la partecipazione di giovani cantanti italiani
