Arte e identità del territorio con opere di Borgna e Staccioli accompagnano il passaggio istituzionale di Roberta Casini verso il Consiglio regional È stata inaugurata sabato scorso 15 novembre, negli spazi polivalenti del Teatro Rosini di Lucignano, la mostra ‘Materika’, esposizione che riunisce le opere del pittore Gerardo Brogna e dello scultore Paolo Staccioli, con la curatela di Alessandro Sarti.
L’esposizione, visitabile fino al 1° febbraio 2026 tra il Teatro Rosini e il Chiostro di San Francesco, arricchisce il calendario culturale del borgo della Valdichiana, proponendo un dialogo tra linguaggi artistici differenti ma profondamente interconnessi. Durante l’inaugurazione, Alessandro Sarti ha espresso gratitudine al Comune di Lucignano per l’accoglienza Ringrazio la sindaca Roberta Casini, l’assessore alla cultura e al turismo Stefano Cresti e tutta l’amministrazione comunale per aver creduto in questa mostra. Lucignano dimostra ancora una volta una straordinaria capacità di accogliere e, allo stesso tempo, di aprirsi al mondo attraverso una forma universale di comunicazione come l’arte”.
Sarti ha inoltre rivolto alla sindaca un augurio speciale per il nuovo incarico:
“Porgo a Roberta Casini i più sinceri auguri di buon lavoro in Regione”.
Il critico d’arte Ugo Barlozzetti ha preso la parola evidenziando la continuità tra la storia del borgo e l’evento artistico: La presenza a Lucignano dell’Albero d’Oro testimonia una vocazione storica di questo luogo all’arte che avvicina la natura al divino”. Riguardo agli artisti, Barlozzetti ha descritto le opere in mostra come un equilibrio sorprendente:“Brogna, creativo proveniente dal mondo della moda, rilegge il neoclassico con una modernità originale e incisiva. Staccioli, invece, tenta una sintesi singolare tra il patrimonio culturale che lo ha sempre ispirato — l’eleganza formale e l’espressività del mondo etrusco e dei linguaggi preclassici — e l’osservazione del mondo contemporaneo. Il risultato è un repertorio iconografico fuori dal tempo, giocosamente disincantato e pieno di fiducia nella pluralità delle espressioni artistiche”.Particolarmente intenso anche il momento del saluto istituzionale della sindaca Roberta Casini, la cui presenza è stata accompagnata da grande emozione e dall’applauso dei numerosi presenti: Con ogni probabilità questo è il mio ultimo atto pubblico prima delle dimissioni da sindaco per il nuovo incarico nel Consiglio regionale della Toscana”, ha dichiarato.
Casini ha poi ringraziato l’assessore Stefano Cresti per “l’ennesima intuizione vincente” e per l’organizzazione della mostra negli spazi recentemente restaurati del Rosini, oltre agli artisti e ai curatori.
“Mi appresto ad affrontare questo nuovo impegno con la consueta determinazione ed entusiasmo, senza dimenticare la mia amata Lucignano. Farò di tutto per rappresentare al meglio, in Regione, le istanze della Provincia di Arezzo”. La sindaca ha concluso rivolgendosi alle tante persone che hanno condiviso il percorso amministrativo: attuali e precedenti componenti della Giunta, dipendenti comunali e collaboratori che l’hanno sostenuta nei suoi quasi dodici anni di amministrazione. La mostra Materika accoglie anche la presenza del giovane artista Edoardo Raffaelli, che arricchisce ulteriormente il percorso espositivo con un contributo di nuova generazione.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
