di criticità che non possono più essere trascurate sia nei servizi ospedalieri che della medicina del territorio, per cui tutti insieme chiederemo alla Direzione Regionale della Sanità e alla Direzione Generale dell’Usl Umbria 1 un incontro per affrontare le questioni prioritarie, mettendoci a disposizione della ricerca delle soluzioni necessarie con spirito costruttivo, ma anche con la doverosa fermezza nel rivendicare le legittime aspettative dei cittadini”. Il sindaco Luca Secondi tira le somme del tavolo con il mondo del volontariato socio-sanitario cittadino che ha riunito stamattina nella residenza comunale di piazza Gabriotti, alla presenza del vice sindaco Giuseppe Stefano Bernicchi e dell’assessore alle Politiche Sociali Benedetta Calagreti, preannunciando che “il Comune si farà carico di presentare a nome dei soggetti intervenuti all’incontro la richiesta formale ai vertici della sanità regionale di un summit nel quale fare il punto della situazione nel territorio dell’Altotevere”. “L’incontro di stamattina ha permesso di mettere a fuoco la realtà attuale dei servizi nel nostro territorio dai punti di vista diversi e specifici di ogni associazione, che sono però stati coincidenti nel rappresentare un quadro di estrema difficoltà del sistema sanitario pubblico”, sottolinea Secondi nel ringraziare tutti i presenti “per il prezioso contributo e lo spirito di servizio con il quale hanno raccolto l’invito del Comune”. “Dalla discussione, che ha spaziato a 360 gradi sugli aspetti di più elevata criticità che caratterizzano l’offerta pubblica – evidenzia il sindaco – è emersa la determinazione a fare squadra per rappresentare con la maggiore incisività possibile ai responsabili sanitari l’urgenza di assicurare la massima attenzione all’ospedale di Città di Castello e ai servizi della medicina del territorio, che devono essere rafforzati con opportuni investimenti e scelte appropriate”. “Riteniamo indispensabile – conclude Secondi – che i vertici regionali prendano atto delle esigenze e delle preoccupazioni che gli utenti rappresentano quotidianamente, ma anche delle istanze degli operatori sanitari, ai quali deve essere garantita la possibilità di svolgere la propria professione nelle condizioni organizzative e operative che permettano al servizio pubblico di continuare ad essere punto di riferimento affidabile e sicuro per tutti i cittadini”.
