Domenica 3 settembre si celebra anche a Monte San Savino la ventiquattresima Giornata Europea della Cultura Ebraica con un convegno a partire dalle 10:30 presso la sala conferenze del Museo del Cassero, in Piazza Gamurrini, che si concluderà con un piccolo rinfresco alle 12:30 (anche Kasher). Ed alle 15:30 con una visita guidata alle antiche vestigia ebraiche (con ritrovo sempre presso il Museo del Cassero) della ex Sinagoga con i due mikveh e dell’antico cimitero ebraico posto a poca distanza dal centro storico.
La manifestazione apre in tutta la Penisola le porte di sinagoghe, musei e altri siti ebraici alla cittadinanza proponendo centinaia di appuntamenti culturali e di incontro. L’iniziativa, coordinata e promossa nel nostro Paese dall’Unione delle Comunità Ebraiche Italiane, avrà quest’anno quale tema conduttore a unire idealmente tutti gli eventi il tema della “bellezza”.
Il titolo del convegno a Monte San Savino è “Estetica ed etica nell’ebraismo ma non solo…” nel quale si affronterà il tema della bellezza cercandola, nell’ebraismo, in pensieri, azioni, esperienze di relazione che ci invitano a fare il bene. I testi biblici ci invitano ad interpretarli all’infinito, con molteplici combinazioni di significati e di sviluppi. Così come l’articolo 3 della Costituzione Italiana ci chiede di partecipare con le nostre azioni a rendere la società più giusta e quindi più bella.
Accompageranno in questa ricerca della bellezza: Irene Stolzi, professoressa ordinaria di storia del diritto presso l’Università degli Studi di Firenze, Stefano Levi della Torre, già docente alla scuola di architettura del Politecnico di Milano, pittore, scrittore e studioso di ebraismo, Gadi Fernando Piperno Rabbino capo della comunità di Firenze.
Le iniziative aperte a tutti si svolgono con il patrocinio dell’Amministrazione Comunale di Monte San Savino, dell’Azienda Monteservizi, della Comunità Ebraica di Firenze e sono ad ingresso libero.
Il Comitato Amici di Salomon Fiorentino, ricostituito di recente sulle orme di una precedente associazione, si occupa con l’Amministrazione Comunale savinese ed con altri enti ed associazioni di preservare e valorizzare il patrimonio artistico e culturale della antica comunità ebraica di Monte San Savino.
Esistono ancora oggi vestigia ben conservate di questa presenza: la sinagoga, il bagno rituale (mikveh), l’antico cimitero ebraico e una via nel centro storico, l’antico “ghetto”, dedicata oggi a Salomon Fiorentino. Il poeta nato a Monte San Savino nel 1743 fu il primo italiano di religione ebraica a figurare nella letteratura italiana, come risulta dalla “Crestomazia italiana” di Giacomo Leopardi.
Inoltre il Comitato Amici di Salomon Fiorentino ha in corso collaborazioni con le scuole primarie di Monte San Savino e Civitella in Val di Chiana, e attraverso attività di laboratorio e l’uso del linguaggio del teatro accompagna gli studenti in un viaggio di scoperta, osservazione, sperimentazione ed elaborazione dei concetti di identità, cultura e memoria.
