SANSEPOLCRO – Dal prossimo 7 ottobre e sino al 7 gennaio 2024 la sede della Casa di Piero ospiterà un altro evento di spessore. Si tratta della mostra personale dell’artista Silvano Rubino dal titolo “Up Down: Sacra Conversazione”. Curata da Cristina Tonini e organizzata dalla Fondazione Piero della Francesca con la collaborazione della Fondazione Cini- Istituto di Storia dell’Arte, dell’Associazione Contemporis ETS – Contemporary Culture in Venice, dell’Associazione DiVetro Sansepolcro e della Pentagram Stiftung.
L’esposizione è stata concepita come un omaggio di Rubino all’opera di Piero della Francesca e in particolare alla Pala Montefeltro o Pala di Brera (1472). La Sacra Concersazione è costruita sulla base di un canone geometrico-matematico, la prospettiva centrale. Il punto di fuga è coincidente nel perfetto ovale della Vergine. Sopra di lei l’uovo, simbolo del ciclo della vita, della rinascita e della perfezione. Le figure nella loro fissità, in assenza di emozioni palpabili, comunicano un senso di sospensione temporale che caratterizza tutta la composizione. L’installazione Up-Down di Rubino è ispirata al dettaglio rivisitato dell’uovo. L’artista nel 2015 ne aveva realizzato una prima versione per un evento collaterale della 56a Biennale d’Arte di Venezia, The dialogue of fire. Quella esposta in mostra, nella Casa di Piero della Francesca, è l’ultima versione dal carattere concettuale e minimalista. L’artista si è focalizzato sui temi della spiritualità, della purezza e della rinascita. In mostra sono esposti anche quattro progetti installativi. Due sono relativi all’installazione Up-Down. Gli altri due, provenienti dalla collezione della Fondazione Cini – Istituto Storia dell’Arte, sono: Mancante, ispirato all’assenza della tavola del Battesimo di Cristo di Piero e Segmento d’infinito. A corredo dell’esposizione un catalogo edito con testi di Cristina Tonini, Demetrio Paparoni, Marzia Scalon e una presentazione di Francesca Chieli, presidente della Fondazione Piero della Francesca.
La mostra sarà visitabile nelle giornate di giovedi, venerdi (dalle 10 alle 13), sabato e domenica (dalle 10 alle 13 e dalle 15 alle 17) di ogni settimana sino alla data del 7 gennaio 2024.
