AREZZO – Cancro del Polmone All’Auditorium dell’Ospedale S.Donato di Arezzo un evento per sensibilizzare la cittadinanza sulla prevenzione della malattia e informarla sull’accesso alle cure.
Si svolgerà lunedì 5 febbraio a partire dalle ore 14.30
In occasione della giornata mondiale contro il cancro, che si celebra domenica 4 febbraio, si svolgerà lunedì 5 febbraio dalle 14,30 in poi all’Auditorium dell’Ospedale San Donato di Arezzo l’evento dal titolo “Il Gruppo Oncologico Multidisciplinare del polmone ad Arezzo: dalla prevenzione di malattia all’accesso alle cure”. L’incontro, aperto al pubblico, ha l’obiettivo di aumentare il livello di attenzione nella Provincia di Arezzo sul cancro del polmone che rappresenta purtroppo ancora la prima causa di morte per tumori. Lo slogan è “conoscere” “prevenire” e “riconoscere” al piu’ presto. Il GOM (gruppo oncologico multidisciplinare)polmone prende in carico ad Arezzo circa 200 nuovi casi all’anno ed ancora purtroppo una parte significativa dei casi giunge alla diagnosi in fase tardiva non soddisfacendo i criteri di operabilita’, rimanendo l’intervento chirurgico il trattamento che aumenta la possibilita’ di guarigione. Per questo lo scopo dell’iniziativa ha in primis fare un focus sulla prevenzione. I curatori dell’evento sono il Dott Raffaele Scala, direttore di Pneumologia ed il Dottor Carlo Milandri direttore di Oncologia. Saranno presenti tutti gli attori del GOM polmone afferenti alla Radiologia, Medicina Nucleare, Anatomia Patologica, Medicina Nucleare, Chirurgia Toracica, Radioterapia, Cure palliative, Psicoloncologia, Medicina Generale, Associazione pazienti. Nel corso dell’incontro verranno presentati alla cittadinanza i percorsi di accesso alle cure nella nei casi di sospetto tumore del polmone. L’evento vedrà’ la partecipazione attiva della cittadinanza, delle istituzioni comunali e delle associazioni di pazienti del territorio
