Arezzo, 12 febbraio 2024 – Una serata dedicata alla grande danza con un parterre stelle dai più prestigiosi teatri d’Europa: dall’Opera di Parigi al Teatro San Carlo di Napoli fino al Royal Ballet di Londra e all’Opera di Roma. Quest’anno la Stagione Concertistica Aretina, il cartellone promosso da Fondazione Guido d’Arezzo e Comune di Arezzo con la direzione artistica di Giovanni Andrea Zanon e il sostegno del Ministero della Cultura, si arricchisce di un prezioso Galà di Danza creato in collaborazione col primo solista del Royal Ballet Valentino Zucchetti, che nell’occasione presenterà in prima assoluta il suo ultimo lavoro in veste di coreografo “Elegia Perduta”, con protagonisti i primi ballerini del corpo di ballo londinese Yasmine Naghdi e Reece Clarke. Appuntamento sabato 17 febbraio ore 19.00 al Teatro Petrarca (via Guido Monaco 12) con un programma che spazierà dal balletto romantico al contemporaneo. Tra i nomi illustri sul palcoscenico anche Valentine Colasante e Paul Marque, entrambi étoile dell’Opera di Parigi; Claudia D’Antonio, étoile del San Carlo; Alessio Rezza, étoile dell’Opera di Roma. E poi Flavia Stocchi, premio Danza&Danza come miglior interprete emergente, e Alessandro Staiano, con in curriculum la partecipazioneagli spettacoli di “Bolle and Friends” accanto alla star internazionale (info e ingressi www.fondazioneguidodarezzo.com). Otto pezzi danzati per un evento che si articolerà in due atti. Apertura con “Fiamme di Parigi”, opera del coreografo Vasilij Vajnonen con musiche di Boris Asaf’ev che debuttò a San Pietroburgo nel 1932 per poi divenire diventare un classico del Bol’šoj, e che ad Arezzo vedrà esibirsi Flavia Stocchi e Alessandro Rezza. Si prosegue con “La Nuit s’Achève” (“la notte sta finendo”), lavoro firmato dal già primo ballerino del New York City Ballet e coreografo di fama internazionale Benjamin Millepied sulle note della sonata “Appassionata” di Beethoven, interpretato da Valentine Colasante e Paul Marque, e “Delibes Suite”, dell’étoile e coreografo spagnolo José Carlos Martínez su musica del compositore ottocentesco Léo Delibes, danzato da Claudia D’Antonio e Alessandro Staiano. Conclusione del primo atto col debutto di “Elegia Perduta” di Valentino Zucchetti, coreografia che riprende le suggestioni malinconiche dell’”Elegia” Op. 24 di Gabriel Fauré – eseguita dal vivo da Maria Salvatori al violoncello e Francesco Santini al pianoforte – in un incontro col virtuosismo artistico di Yasmine Naghdi e Reece Clarke. La serata riprenderà con “Aria Suspended”, brano del coreografo contemporaneo Mauro de Candia in cui Staiano e D’Antonio dialogheranno sulle note della cosiddetta “Aria sulla quarta corda” di Johan Sebastian Bach, sempre eseguita dal vivo da Salvatori e Santini. Avanti col “Don Quixote”, balletto di Marius Petipa su musica di Ludwig Minkus ispirato al celebre romanzo di Cervantes, danzato da Colasante e Marque, e con “La Sylphide”, uno dei più noti balletti di tutti i tempi oltre che capostipite del balletto romantico, nella versione di August Bournonville con la musica di Jean Schneitzhöffer e l’interpretazione di Stocchi e Rezza. Chiusura affidata a “Il Corsaro”, balletto basato sull’omonimo poema di Lord Byron nella versione con coreografia di Marius Petipa e musiche di Riccardo Drigo per un’immersione nelle atmosfere della Russia imperiale rievocata sul palcoscenico da Naghdi e Clarke. “Siamo molto entusiasti di presentare il Gala di danza”, commenta il Maestro Zanon. “Dopo il successo dello scorso anno abbiamo deciso di organizzare anche nella stagione 2023-2024 uno spettacolo di altissimo livello, che coinvolgerà alcune delle stelle del panorama mondiale della danza e che proporrà un programma molto affascinante. Una serata impreziosita dalla coreografia che Valentino Zucchetti ha ideato appositamente per l’evento e che verrà presentata proprio al Teatro Petrarca in prima mondiale”. Aggiunge Valentino Zucchetti: “Insieme al Maestro Zanon abbiamo lavorato per offrire al pubblico un’esperienza di danza classica a tutto tondo, con artisti di fama internazionale, musiche eseguite dal vivo – cosa molto rara nell’ambito di un galà –, un repertorio quanto mai vario tra momenti virtuosistici e classici del balletto oltre a una coreografia creata appositamente”.
