Cultura, arte e solidarietà – Faenza e Citta’ di Castello unite più che mai anche dal bellissimo gesto di vicinanza della Cooperativa “Il Poliedro” che ha destinato alla città emiliana una raccolta fondi dopo i disastri provocati dalle alluvioni – Verrà utilizzata in favore della biblioteca “Manfrediana” – La lettera del sindaco di Faenza
“A nome mio personale, dell’Amministrazione comunale, della Biblioteca e dell’intera città di Faenza desidero esprimere i più sentiti ringraziamenti per il contributo a favore della Biblioteca Manfrediana duramente colpita dal tragico evento di maggio che ha gravemente ferito la città di Faenza. Il bellissimo gesto di solidarietà avrà un ruolo importante per la rinascita della Manfrediana fondamentale polo culturale per la nostra città che, nonostante le difficoltà e i danni subiti, il 10 luglio scorso ha riaperto al pubblico le sale non alluvionate”. Così il Sindaco di Faenza, Massimo Isola, in una calorosa lettera di ringraziamento inviata alla Cooperativa Sociale Il Poliedro di Città di Castello che ha organizzato l’apertura straordinaria della Pinacoteca Comunale devolvendo l’intero incasso a favore delle popolazioni alluvionate della Romagna. “E’ stato per noi motivo di grande orgoglio” – ha affermato la Presidente de Il Poliedro, Alessandra Garavani – “aver potuto contribuire al recupero di una delle più importanti strutture culturali del Comune di Faenza così toccate dall’alluvione del maggio 2023. Ci piace l’idea che una istituzione culturale come la Pinacoteca Comunale di Città di Castello possa generare azioni positive per il recupero di un’altra istituzione culturale, come fossero parte integrante di un’unica famiglia”. L’iniziativa è stata fortemente voluta da tutto il personale del settore PoliedroCultura, che ha in gestione dal 1996 oltre la Pinacoteca Comunale di Città di Castello, uno tra i più importanti musei dell’Umbria, anche la Biblioteca comunale “Carducci” di Città di Castello e il Museo delle Tradizioni Popolari “Livio Dalla Ragione”, proprio per dimostrare che la rinascita di un territorio può partire anche dal recupero di spazi per la cultura come luoghi collettivi di solidarietà. D’altronde Il Poliedro, occupandosi quotidianamente di inserimento lavorativo di persone svantaggiate, non poteva rimanere insensibile verso un evento di questa portata. Invitiamo l’Amministrazione di Faenza a visitare la nostra realtà, certi che potrebbe essere l’occasione per uno scambio di conoscenze e di esperienze per arricchire e far nascere nuovi percorsi”. Anche il sindaco Luca Secondi e l’assessore alla Cultura Michela Botteghi hanno sottolineato con ammirazione e gratitudine questa bella pagina di solidarietà all’insegna dell’arte e della cultura fra Citta’ di Castello e Faenza, congratulandosi con la Cooperativa Il Poliedro e con il sindaco Massimo Isola, già presente in città nell’ambito delle iniziative legate alla valorizzazione della ceramica.
