MONTEPULCIANO – Domenica 28 Aprile si apre l’anno contradaiolo 2024, la cerimonia di apertura si svolgerà dalle ore 9:00 con il corteo storico che muoverà dal Palazzo Comunale di Montepulciano fino al Santuario di Sant’Agnese, a seguire l’esibizione degli sbandieratori e tamburini delle otto contrade di Montepulciano
Prima uscita ufficiale del Bravìo delle Botti di Montepulciano che domenica 28 Aprile, a partire dalle ore 9:00, apre l’Anno Contradaiolo 2024. Dopo il passaggio delle cariche avvenuto nei mesi scorsi, la nuova Reggitrice Irene Bettollini e il nuovo Consiglio di Gestione del Magistrato delle Contrade sono pronti ad aprire un anno importante per il Bravìo, ovvero quello del 50esimo anniversario della manifestazione. Da mesi il gruppo sta lavorando per celebrare nel migliore dei modi la storica ricorrenza; tanti saranno gli appuntamenti e gli eventi che accompagneranno i poliziani in questi mesi e che ripercorreranno i 50 anni del Bravìo delle Botti, da quando Don Marcello Del Balio nel 1974 ebbe la storica intuizione, fino ad oggi. Come da tradizione l’Anno Contradaiolo si apre nell’ultimo fine settimana di Aprile, quello dedicato a Sant’Agnese, patrona di Montepulciano. Domenica 28 Aprile, quindi, dalle ore 9:00, il corteo storico composto dalle autorità cittadine, dal Magistrato delle Contrade di Montepulciano e dalle otto contrade, partirà dal Palazzo Comunale di Montepulciano e proseguirà lungo le vie cittadine, fino a raggiungere il Santuario di Sant’Agnese. Alle ore 10:00 si terrà la Santa Messa, officiata da Don Domenico Zafarana, in onore della patrona e con la cerimonia di apertura della teca in cui sono conservate le spoglie di Sant’Agnese. Al termine del rito si svolgerà l’esibizione degli sbandieratori e dei tamburini delle otto contrade. L’apertura dell’Anno Contradaiolo è un momento emozionante per tutti i poliziani perché la cittadina ricomincia a vivere l’atmosfera della sua manifestazione che culminerà domenica 25 agosto, giorno in cui le botti rotoleranno lungo le vie cittadine. Alla cerimonia di apertura saranno presenti il sindaco di Montepulciano Michele Angiolini, la Reggitrice del Magistrato delle Contrade di Montepulciano Irene Bettollini e il rinnovato gruppo del Consiglio di Gestione.
