AREZZO – “Il tema della sicurezza è da sempre ai primi posti dell’agenda dell’Amministrazione Ghinelli, non è un caso se tale delega è nelle mani del primo cittadino. Sono in atto nuovi progetti per migliorare la sicurezza urbana, Menchetti dica cosa ha fatto il Movimento 5 Stelle sul tema quando ha governato il nostro Paese?
Come mai ha votato contro la dotazione di taser ai nostri agenti e oggi invoca equipaggiamenti efficaci?”. Questa la replica di Francesco Palazzini capogruppo in consiglio comunale e Responsabile provinciale Sicurezza di FDI. “Questa Amministrazione – spiega Palazzini – ha avviato un percorso articolato, complesso e faticoso che presto vedrà altri obiettivi raggiunti. Quando si parla di sicurezza urbana, episodi di ordine pubblico legati anche al decoro e alla vivibilità dei nostri spazi urbani, non ci sono soluzioni facili. Le competenze non afferiscono solo al Comune di Arezzo, e chi, come Menchetti, si è battuto in tutti questi anni per la falsa accoglienza e le frontiere aperte, oggi dovrebbe riflettere su cosa hanno prodotto le politiche migratorie di quegli anni per le nostre città e per la vita delle nostre comunità. I cittadini di Arezzo, come anche di tutto il nostro Paese, subiscono gli effetti di una integrazione di facciata, che è servita solo a fare gli interessi di qualche cooperativa, come testimoniano i fatti di cronaca accaduti in questi anni.
La Giunta ha istituito, anche con il nostro contributo, il nucleo anti degrado con compiti specifici di controllo presso le aree sensibili, gli agenti del nucleo sono dotati di apposito furgone e degli strumenti di cui parla Menchetti, non ha alcun senso dotare di dispositivi del genere personale che svolge altri compiti, sarebbe anzi controproducente per gli stessi agenti.
È stato pubblicato da pochi giorni un bando di concorso per agenti di polizia locale da inserire nell’organigramma della municipale di Arezzo, decisione fortemente sostenuta dal Gruppo di FDI, Menchetti dovrebbe conoscere le norme e sapere che non è possibile discriminare per età i partecipanti ai concorsi pubblici, tuttavia l’Amministrazione ha introdotto, anche su nostra proposta, prove fisiche per favorire l’ingresso di personale dotato di capacità operative adeguate.
E’ stata potenziata, ed è in corso di ulteriore sviluppo la rete di videosorveglianza in tutta la città che consta ad oggi di oltre trecento telecamere, tutte collegate in rete e monitorate dalla centrale operativa della Polizia Municipale. È inoltre allo studio, come da risposta del Sindaco alla mia interrogazione, l’integrazione della vigilanza privata con quella pubblica allo scopo di rafforzare i presidi sulle aree a rischio. A tal proposito è bene ricordare che i compiti del nostro corpo di polizia locale sono molti e di vario genere, anche di carattere amministrativo e non esclusivamente riguardanti l’ordine pubblico o il controllo del territorio, settori che invece sono affidati anche alle altre forze dell’ordine presenti in città.
Io credo – conclude Francesco Palazzini – che amministrare una città come quella di Arezzo sia in primo luogo una responsabilità non da poco, so bene che fare opposizione è molto più semplice, ma non posso accettare lezioni sul tema della sicurezza dal Movimento 5 stelle che ha dimostrato quando è stato al Governo della Nazione di non aver inciso in maniera sensibile sul tale argomento, tanto è vero che gli italiani, anche per questo, hanno bocciato quella esperienza giudicandola fallimentare”.
