AREZZO – Sabato 8 giugno 2024, alle ore 17, la chiesa di San Severo in località San Severo, ad Arezzo, ospita “Storie e canti”, un nuovo appuntamento della rassegna “Estate all’Alpe di Poti” promossa da La Fattoria in Cammino Ets. Protagonisti del pomeriggio saranno il giornalista culturale Marco Botti e l’ensemble vocale VisCantus diretto da Silvia Vajente, per l’occasione accompagnato da Niccolò Nardoianni al piano, con i quali i partecipanti ripercorreranno la storia del luogo situato lungo la strada panoramica di Poti. L’iniziativa è a offerta libera
Nel 568 i longobardi calarono in Italia. La stessa Arezzo fu conquistata tra il 575 e la fine di quel secolo. Costretti a un brusco arretramento, i bizantini crearono una linea difensiva che passava proprio dalle montagne a est della città. È in quella fase che probabilmente sorse il primo edificio religioso dedicato a San Severo, dodicesimo vescovo di Ravenna, allora capitale dell’Esarcato. Nel XII secolo la chiesetta fu ricostruita nelle forme romaniche che possiamo ancora ammirare. La facciata, in particolare, è un piccolo capolavoro di semplicità giunto a noi quasi intatto, ma sono tante le curiosità che la struttura religiosa ha da rivelare. Di fronte all’edificio sacro, un monumento ricorda invece una delle più feroci stragi naziste nel territorio aretino, perpetrata il 14 luglio 1944. “Quello che propone La Fattoria in Cammino – spiega la presidente Elena Palazzini – sarà un pomeriggio fatto di storie, parole, immagini proiettate e canti che accompagneranno i presenti fino al tramonto. Saranno con noi Marco Botti, già autore in passato di ricerche sul luogo che sono state oggetto di articoli e conferenze, e l’ensemble vocale VisCantus diretto da Silvia Vajente, che invece proporrà un affascinante repertorio di musica sacra e profana ad hoc. L’iniziativa si concluderà accanto all’edificio sacro – conclude Elena Palazzini. – Lì ci saranno Filippo Tigli e Paola Porcu del Registro Alberi Monumentali Italiani, che illustreranno le caratteristiche e la datazione della Grande Quercia, uno dei simboli della località”. “Storie e canti” è il nuovo appuntamento dedicato a un luogo magico, San Severo, che merita di essere conosciuto dalle nuove generazioni e valorizzato.

La sua attività è rivolta, fin dall’inizio della carriera, al mondo delle arti visive e della cultura in generale. È fondatrice e direttrice di VisCantus, ensemble vocale con cui dal 2016 propone un repertorio che spazia dall’antico al contemporaneo.
