Ospedale del Valdarno, parto cesareo in emergenza salva la vita a madre e neonata di 29 settimane Madre e figlia stanno bene grazie al tempestivo intervento dei sanitari della Gruccia: il parto è avvenuto poco dopo la mezzanotte del 7 luglio
Un intervento che ha salvato la vita a una giovane mamma e alla sua bambina di 29 settimane. Il parto cesareo in emergenza è stato praticato dai sanitari dell’ospedale La Gruccia di Montevarchi, dove la madre si trova ora ricoverata in buone condizioni, poco dopo la mezzanotte del 7 luglio scorso. La bambina è stata invece trasferita alla TIN (Terapia Intensiva Neonatale) de Le Scotte di Siena, dove ne sarà monitorato il decorso.
“La giovane mamma si è presentata al PS dell’Ospedale Santa Maria alla Gruccia alle 23,30 di sabato – racconta il Direttore dell’Ostetricia Ginecologia, dottor Filippo Francalanci – con un quadro di addome acuto ma soprattutto con una importante bradicardia fetale che poteva essere compatibile con un distacco della placenta. È stato pertanto deciso di intervenire immediatamente con un taglio cesareo in emergenza. Alle 00:24 è venuta alla luce una neonata viva e vitale alla 29 settimana di gestazione”.
L’intervento dei sanitari del PO del Valdarno, guidati dal dottor Francalanci, è stato provvidenziale perché la madre presentava un quadro clinico particolarmente rischioso. “La rottura atraumatica dell’utero, che si manifesta in 0,7 casi ogni 10.000 parti – spiega ancora il dottor Francalanci – può avere, infatti, gravi conseguenze per la madre e per la neonata. È stato quindi importante agire tempestivamente. Un plauso va a tutto il personale che si è trovato coinvolto e che ha saputo rispondere in modo eccellente”.
“La madre si trova in buone condizioni generali di salute nel nostro reparto – afferma la Direttrice del Presidio del Valdarno, Patrizia Bobini – Un grande ringraziamento va a tutto il personale sanitario: Ginecologi, Anestesisti, Ostetriche, Pediatri, Infermiere ed OSS. Grazie al loro lavoro e alla loro grande professionalità hanno saputo affrontare un evento così difficile evitando il peggio”.
