Si tratta di una originale iniziativa in grado di ricreare un’ambientazione ricca di fascino e storia legata alla tradizione della città e al ponte che attraversa il fiume Tevere, tanto caro ai tifernati. “Il Ponte sul Tevere, costruito nel 1860, a seguito di specifico finanziamento dello Stato Pontificio nella persona di Papa Pio IX, in conseguenza della demolizione del vecchio ponte in legno risalente ai primi anni del 1600 – ricordano gli organizzatori – venne minato dai tedeschi nel 1944, durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale e la sua ricostruzione terminò definitivamente nel 1952. La struttura venne ricostruita in muratura come lo è attualmente. Da quel momento la nuova struttura ha ripreso la propria importante funzione di unione commerciale e sociale tra la città storica e la restante parte della città, divisi dal Fiume Tevere”. “Anche in questo 2024, come ormai avviene da diversi anni nel mese di luglio, ci attende il nostro vecchio Ponte sul nostro grande fiume Tevere – dichiara il presidente dell’associazione dei Quartieri “Quellidelàdelponte”, Marsilio Sinatti – sarà la settima cena e anche stavolta il nostro ponte per l’occasione sarà vestito a festa e per l’intera serata nessun pneumatico potrà calpestarlo.
