Pierfrancesco Salvetti ha conosciuto l’arbitro di Parma grazie all’amicizia che legava Michelotti a suo padre, Ferruccio. Scomparso nel gennaio del 2014. E al quale è intitolato un Premio importante. Ripartiamo da Rivera.
“Il campione del Milan – ricorda Salvetti – si scagliò duramente contro Michelotti dopo l’assegnazione di un rigore che nel 1973 a Cagliari fermò la corsa scudetto della squadra rossonera. Rivera subì una dura squalifica e per un lungo periodo evitò di parlare con il direttore di gara di Pama. Fu Paron Rocco, durante un incontro casuale a obbligarli a chiudere questa loro guerra. Due campioni come voi devono parlarsi disse Rocco. E fu ascoltato. Da allora Alberto e Rivera hanno avuto sempre un ottimo rapporto.”. Un altro episodio. Da Rivera, a Platini. “Alberto è sempre stato orgoglioso di aver diretto l’addio al calcio di Michel. Anche quando aveva chiuso l’attività era sempre disponibile a dirigere gare di vecchie glorie. Fare l’arbitro è stato per lui un grande amore”.
La voce di Salvetti si abbassa di qualche tono nel raccontare il fischietto di Parma. Ricordi ed emozioni si mescolano in un cocktail speciale. “Alberto non ha avuto un’infanzia facile. Il suo sogno era quello di suonare uno strumento. Ma la sua storia familiare lo penalizzò in questo percorso. Così si ritrovò a lavorare in un’officina. Riparava i camion da trasporto. Tanta fatica per mettere a posto i motori poi, la gioia di fare sport, di arbitrare”.
Michelotti è stato protagonista in tante sfide internazionali. “Alberto – racconta Salvetti – amava andare ad arbitrare all’estero anche se non conosceva le lingue. Era solito dire che aveva fatto la quarta con il bidello. Però in campo si faceva rispettare usando come lingua il parmigiano. I calciatori capivano perfettamente i suoi ordini proposti in dialetto stretto. Lui non si faceva mettere i piedi in testa da nessuno. Mi ha più volte raccontato quando in una gara di Coppa Uefa annullò un gol a un attaccante tedesco. E quando lui si avvicinò minaccioso per lamentarsi lo spostò usando le sue manone. Poco tempo dopo Michelotti ritrovò quel giocatore in una partita della Nazionale e lui gli disse che dopo quella spinta “sto continuando a girare”. E nel raccontare questa storia rideva”.
Altri episodi. Da ascoltare a bocca aperta. “Alberto – ricorda Salvetti – nel dicembre del 1972 arbitra Roma-Inter. A sessanta secondi dalla fine Morini interviene su Mazzola e l’arbitro assegna il rigore. Qualcuno tentò addirittura di invadere il campo per passare alle vie di fatto contro il direttore di gara. Per tornare a Parma Michelotti fece la strada che costeggiava gli Appennini. Guardalinee di San Piero ricordato dai figli con un Premio
Tra i sampierani che hanno ricoperto ruoli importanti nelle loro professioni va annoverato Ferruccio Salvetti, ricordato soprattutto per essere arrivato a collaborare, come guardalinee in serie A, con arbitri come Michelotti, Casarin ed Agnolin, solo per citarne alcuni. Per ricordarlo i figli Giandomenico, Alessandra, deceduta lo scorso anno, e Pierfrancesco hanno promosso un Premio a lui intitolato. Appena ragazzino, alla fine della guerra, i genitori lo mandano a Firenze, alla Madonnina del Grappa da Don Facibeni, come in quegli anni avvenne per tanti ragazzi d’Alto Savio, per continuare a studiare. Da allora la sua vita professionale e familiare si sviluppò in Toscana, dove con residenza a Sesto Fiorentino. Ma il legame con San Piero rimase fortissimo e ogni anno tornava al paese per un periodo di ferie. E saldo è anche il legame con San Piero e Bagno di Romagna che hanno i figli, e in particolare Pierfrancesco. Salvetti si diplomò e cominciò a lavorare come contabile fino a diventare responsabile dell’ufficio acquisti della multinazionale americana “Eli Lilly”. Quando andò in pensione, aprì con la moglie Maria Grazia uno studio di consulenza fiscale. Ma la sua passione era l’arbitraggio e ogni domenica si spostava da una parte all’altra d’Italia. Aveva cominciato a dirigere la squadra di calcio della Madonnina del Grappa e in quel modo conobbe Artemio Franchi, allora arbitro della sezione di Firenze, che lo avviò al mondo del fischietto. Franchi sarebbe poi diventato presidente Figc, presidente Uefa e vicepresidente Fifa. Dopo aver arbitrato fino alle massime categorie dilettanti, Salvetti intraprese la carriera di guardalinee (oggi si direbbe assistente arbitrale) e negli anni ’70 e nei primi anni ’80 collaborò coi grandi arbitri della serie A. Insignito dall’Associazione Arbitri della medaglia d’oro nel 2004, ricoprì incarichi dirigenziali nell’associazione ed era sempre presente a Sportilia, ad accogliere i colleghi per i ritiri precampionato. Sia nella vita personale che in quella professionale e associativa, viene ricordato per la passione e l’attaccamento con cui si dedicava ai suoi impegni ed anche per la sua discrezione, per il suo “protagonismo silenzioso”. È morto nel 2014, a 81 anni di età. I figli hanno organizzato il Premio Ferruccio Salvetti, non solo per ricordare la figura dell’uomo e dello sportivo, ma anche per offrire un riconoscimento a personaggi del calcio e dello sport per l’impegno e la passione profusi nella loro attività, cioè per i valori che hanno contraddistinto il percorso di vita del padre. La prima edizione, tenutasi nel giugno 2019 al Museo del Calcio a Coverciano, ha visto tra i premiati l’ex arbitro internazionale Paolo Casarin, l’allora vicepresidente Uefa Michele Uva, l’allora arbitro internazionale Gianluca Rocchi, l’ex arbitro internazionale Alberto Michelotti.
