La comunità di San Piero in Bagno e Bagno di Romagna si prepara a commemorare l’eccidio del Carnaio con tre appuntamenti – 21, 23 e 24 luglio La comunità di San Piero in Bagno e di Bagno di Romagna nel corso del fine settimana prossimo, da giovedì 21 a domenica 24 luglio, ricorderà la strage del Carnaio, dove il 25 luglio 1944 furono uccisi ventisei cittadini dopo una lunga giornata di rastrellamenti

“Annunciamo tre appuntamenti dedicati alla Memoria, – commentano il sindaco Marco Baccini e Enrica
Lazzari Assessore alla Cultura – per commemorare le vittime della strage del Carnaio: la tragica
uccisione dei nostri compaesani rappresentano per la nostra Comunità una ferita indelebile, che
abbiamo la responsabilità di ricordare e di far conoscere alle giovani generazioni, affinché anche da una
esperienza così atroce possiamo trarre tutti insieme insegnamenti per evitare simili errori nel corso della
storia e per migliorare la nostra Comunità”.
Giovedì 21 luglio, alle 20.45, all’arena estiva del Palazzo del Capitano di Bagno di Romagna si terrà la
presentazione del progetto “Landscape in a box – Paesaggi in scatola”, racconto di tre luoghi della
memoria (Passo del Carnaio, Seghettina e Strabatenza) a cura dell’associazione Deina. Sono previsti gli
interventi di Cristina Lentini, presidente di Deina, di alcuni studenti del Liceo Scientifico Righi –
sede di Bagno di Romagna e del professore Roberto Lolli. L’incontro sarà introdotto dall’Assessora
Enrica Lazzari e da Claudio Locatelli, Vice presidente Anpi Alto Savio.
La mattina di sabato 23 luglio ci sarà la camminata della memoria al Passo del Carnaio, promossa dal
Comune di Bagno di Romagna in collaborazione con ANPI Alto Savio, Istituto Storico della Resistenza
e dell’Età contemporanea di Forlì-Cesena, familiari delle Vittime del Carnaio, Associazione Tra monti e
valli, Associazione Dos dias. I partecipanti si ritroveranno alle 8,30 a San Piero in Bagno davanti alla
Chiesa di San Giovanni, Via Verdi; la partenza è prevista per le ore 9 con ritorno alle ore 15,30.

Le commemorazioni proseguono domenica 24 luglio alle 9,30 al passo del Carnaio con la S. Messa
che celebrerà il Vescovo Douglas Regattieri della Diocesi di Cesena-Sarsina in ricordo delle vittime
della strage del Carnaio. Seguirà alle ore 11 al Cimitero monumentale di San Piero in Bagno al sacrario
dei Martiri del Carnaio, la cerimonia a cui interverranno il Sindaco di Bagno di Romagna Marco
Baccini, Mirta Barchi, presidente ANPI Alto Savio, Vladimiro Flamigni, vice presidente E’ con questo spirito e con questo significato che invitiamo i familiari delle vittime e tutti i cittadini ad
essere presenti per continuare a tenere vivo il ricordo fra le future generazioni.
