Preti e popolo in Alta Valle del Tevere tra guerra e Resistenza. In occasione dell’80° anniversario della fine della seconda guerra mondiale in Alta Valle del Tevere (2024) e della Liberazione d’Italia (2025), l’Istituto “Venanzio Gabriotti” di Città di Castello e il Museo della Resistenza di Sansepolcro, insieme agli Archivi Storici Diocesani delle due città, organizzano un convegno di studi sul tema “Con la nostra gente.
Preti e popolo in Alta Valle del Tevere tra guerra e Resistenza”. L’iniziativa vuole presentare il risultato di una serie di ricerche promosse al fine di evidenziare l’atteggiamento del clero negli anni 1940-1944 durante i quali i sacerdoti, specialmente i parroci, compirono la scelta di rimanere in mezzo al proprio popolo, condividendone le sorti e, spesso, facendosene difensori. La prima sessione si terrà a Città di Castellosabato 18 gennaio, presso l’Auditorium San Giovanni Decollato, con inizio alle ore 9,30. Dopo i saluti istituzionali, seguiranno una relazione introduttiva di Alvaro Tacchini e le comunicazioni di Roberto Allegria (I preti partigiani), Diego Brillini (I sacerdoti nel passaggio del fronte tra i territori di Monte Santa Maria Tiberina e di Citerna), Nadia Burzigotti (I sacerdoti nel passaggio del fronte sull’Appennino umbro-marchigiano), Francesco Orlandini (I sacerdoti tra partigiani e tedeschi) e Giulia Farinelli (I sacerdoti e gli ebrei nell’Alta Valle del Tevere umbra). La seconda sessione si terrà a Sansepolcro sabato 25 gennaio, presso l’Auditorium Santa Chiara, con inizio alle ore 9.30. Dopo i saluti istituzionali, seguiranno una relazione introduttiva di Andrea Czortek e le comunicazioni di Mirco Draghi (Sacerdoti uccisi dai nazifascisti in diocesi di Sansepolcro), Marco Renzi (I sacerdoti nel passaggio del fronte sull’Appennino tosco-romagnolo), Massimo Marzocchi (I sacerdoti nel passaggio del fronte a Pieve Santo Stefano), Elena Zanchi (I sacerdoti nel passaggio del fronte ad Anghiari e Monterchi) e Paola Scortecci (I sacerdoti e gli ebrei nell’Alta Valle del Tevere toscana). Il comitato scientifico è composto da Andrea Czortek, Patrizia Fabbroni e Alvaro Tacchini.
