Domani tappa a Bibbiena con studentesse e studenti dell’ISIS Fermi Informazione e consapevolezza per prevenire infezioni come sifilide, epatite, HIV e HPV Le malattie sessualmente trasmissibili al centro dell’incontro che si terrà domattina, martedì 4 marzo, nell’auditorium del museo di Bibbiena e destinato a studentesse e studenti delle scuole secondarie di II grado.

L’iniziativa rientra nell’ambito del progetto “Educare alla prevenzione delle malattie sessualmente trasmissibili (Mts)” elaborato da Area dipartimentale Malattie Infettive e Uoc Promozione ed etica della salute di Asl Tse, rivolto alle scuole superiori delle province di Arezzo e Grosseto.
Un progetto che, grazie alla sinergia tra gli infettivologi e i referenti dell’educazione alla salute, è stato esteso a tutte le scuole superiori dell’aretino e del grossetano raggiungendo, così, quasi 900 fra ragazzi e ragazze. Un progetto importante visto che i dati epidemiologici evidenziano un incremento tra i giovani delle infezioni sessualmente trasmissibili. «Il trend epidemiologico evidenzia un incremento delle infezioni tra i giovani e uno dei problemi più rilevanti è la scarsa consapevolezza, che aumenta esponenzialmente nei momenti di socialità, in cui si abbassa la soglia della prudenza – dichiara Aniello Buccino, Responsabile Educazione alla Salute del Dipartimento delle Professioni Tecnico Sanitarie, della Prevenzione e Riabilitazione -. Grazie alla collaborazione con l’Area dipartimentale Malattie Infettive, a partire da questo anno scolastico abbiamo potenziato e ampliato le proposte educative rivolte a studenti e studentesse delle secondarie di II grado sull’affettività e sessualità, integrando i progetti portati avanti dalle equipe consultoriali e dagli educatori professionali e offrendo un approccio multiprofessionale che permette di affrontare queste tematiche nelle sue varie le varie sfaccettature». «Negli ultimi anni si assiste ad un aumento delle malattie sessualmente trasmissibili con il raddoppio di alcune patologie come sifilide, gonorrea e clamidia, con un netto incremento tra i più giovani – avverte il dr. Danilo Tacconi, responsabile Area dipartimentale Malattie infettive Asl Tse -. Accanto a questa malattie non dobbiamo dimenticare l’HIV (Aids), alcune epatiti come la B e l’Hpv (papilloma virus). Le motivazioni di questo incremento sono molteplici: promiscuità, scarsa informazione e mancanza di consapevolezza fra i giovani, rispetto alle modalità di prevenzione, aumentano l’esposizione ai fattori di rischio con conseguente contagio. Occorre, pertanto, una maggiore informazione: in questo senso l’educazione alla affettività portata avanti nelle scuole rappresenta un passo importante che andrebbe incrementata ulteriormente come sta già facendo la nostra Azienda sanitaria. In tutto questo non bisogna dimenticare il coinvolgimento delle famiglie». Ma come ridurre il rischio? «Bisogna cercare di evitare rapporti a rischio, usare i profilattici nelle situazioni di incertezza, sottoporsi a vaccinazione contro epatite A, B e HPV – aggiunge il dr. Tacconi –. Inoltre è importante evitare l’uso di sostanze come droghe e alcol che possono alterare le capacità di giudizio riguardo ai rischi potenziali. Informazione e prevenzione rimangono le strade da percorrere per evitare di contrarre queste infezioni. È, inoltre, importante avere consapevolezza di aver corso un rischio e, se si hanno sintomi compatibili con infezioni sessualmente trasmissibili, anche se non tutte danno sintomi, rivolgersi al proprio medico o allo specialista e chiedere di fare accertamenti e approfondimenti. Sottoporsi a terapia è importante per evitare le complicanze e la cronicizzazione dell’infezione, ma soprattutto prevenirne la trasmissione e il contagio».
