Domenica 4 maggio, con la “Colazione al Museo”, il MuSA prosegue le aperture gratuite per far conoscere la storia della Giostra e del Quartiere. La visita attorno alle mura medicee fino all’arco della Parata.
Il Museo di Porta Sant’Andrea (MuSA) apre nelle domeniche della Fiera Antiquaria di Arezzo. Un’iniziativa importante, che punta a far conoscere un grande tesoro aretino come la Giostra del Saracino e la storia del Quartiere. L’iniziativa è stata portata avanti da Porta Sant’Andrea in collaborazione con la Fondazione Arezzo InTour che ha inserito l’apertura del MuSA tra gli eventi collaterali della Fiera. La prossima apertura del Museo è in calendario domenica 4 maggio, con orario al mattino dalle 9.30 alle 12.30 e al pomeriggio dalle 15 alle 18. I visitatori potranno accedere da via Garibaldi 15, l’ingresso è gratuito. Nell’occasione sarà offerta una colazione con cappuccino e cornetti, in collaborazione con la sezione soci di Arezzo di Unicoop Firenze. Alle 10.30 ci sarà una breve passeggiata, guidata dai volontari del Museo, che partendo dal Museo attraverserà Piazza San Giusto, la Porta Ferdinanda (ora Trento e Trieste), le mura medicee, il baluardo di San Giusto fino in via Guadagnoli all’arco della Parata. Inoltre i soci del Quartiere potranno rinnovare la tessera sociale per il 2025. Il MuSA è stato il primo complesso museale a prendere vita nella realtà della Giostra del Saracino, frutto di un investimento importante e lungimirante del Quartiere di Porta Sant’Andrea, che nel 2011 ha portato alla nascita del Museo. Oggi, le stanze del MuSA custodiscono: le Lance d’Oro vinte dal 1933 ad oggi nella Sala delle Vittorie “Faliero Papini”, i Vessilli recanti lo Stemma e il Santo del Quartiere, l’elmo del Capitano realizzato a sbalzo da artigiani locali nel 1934, alcuni dei costumi realizzati nel 1934 da Luigi Sapelli detto “Caramba” edi “Nino” Vittorio Novarese, autore del rifacimento del 1956; numerose opere d’arte e cimeli raccolti negli anni. Nelle stanze adiacenti al museo sono presenti la Sala del Consiglio “Giuseppe Municchi”, la Sala Costumi e la Segreteria del Quartiere.
