Una città che consumi meno e viva di più. Una città che torni ai suoi cittadini. Una politica che smetta di chiudersi nelle stanze e torni nelle piazze, nei quartieri, nelle frazioni. Questo il messaggio forte e chiaro uscito dall’assemblea promossa da Arezzo 2020 – per cambiare a sinistra, che si è tenuta il 4 luglio sulla terrazza Menchetti al Parco Pertini, con oltre 70 partecipanti tra cittadini, associazioni e comitati
L’incontro, il secondo dopo quello di marzo a Villa Severi, ha rappresentato un ulteriore passo nel percorso di costruzione di idee e proposte per il futuro di Arezzo, in vista delle prossime elezioni amministrative. E il confronto ha confermato la volontà di contribuire in maniera concreta e aperta alla definizione del programma della Coalizione di centrosinistra, attraverso i tavoli tematici attivati.
Tra i temi discussi, grande attenzione è stata dedicata:
- alla necessità di ripensare il turismo, con una visione centrata sul patrimonio artistico e architettonico della città e non solo sul commercio;
- a un diverso modello di mobilità, sostenibile e inclusivo, che rafforzi il trasporto pubblico, favorisca la mobilità ciclabile e ampli le aree pedonali;
- alla cura dello spazio pubblico e alla manutenzione urbana, troppo spesso trascurate;
- alla salvaguardia del verde e alla necessità di piantare nuovi alberi, anche in risposta alla crisi climatica;
- alla creazione di spazi di aggregazione per i giovani e alla promozione della cultura diffusa: musica, teatro, danza devono tornare per le strade;
- alla centralità del lavoro, con politiche attive per creare occupazione di qualità, contrastare la precarietà e valorizzare le competenze presenti nel territorio.
Si è parlato anche del sistema sanitario, della necessità di rafforzare il servizio pubblico e arginare la deriva verso il privato. E ancora di politiche sociali attente alle fasce più deboli – anziani, disabili, non autosufficienti – da sostenere con una sinergia vera tra ASL e Comune. L’assemblea ha ribadito con forza il no alle grandi opere inutili e dannose – come la caserma della Polizia Municipale di via Fabio Filzi o la nuova edificazione in via Tiziano – e ha rilanciato la proposta di una pianificazione partecipata attraverso una riforma reale dei CAS (Centri di Aggregazione Sociale), che diventino luoghi di ascolto e confronto sui bisogni di quartieri e frazioni. In questo scenario, Arezzo 2020 lancia anche un appello alla futura alleanza di centrosinistra: serve un deciso cambio di passo. Basta tatticismi e silenzi. Occorre cominciare a parlare alla città, aprirsi al confronto, indicare idee, priorità e anche volti. In molti hanno chiesto quale sia il profilo di candidato sindaco che immaginiamo. La nostra risposta è chiara: programma e candidatura devono andare di pari passo, frutto di un lavoro collettivo e trasparente. E non possiamo accettare che la scelta sia subordinata a interessi diversi da quelli, prioritari, di guida della nostra città. Quanto alla figura che immaginiamo per guidare questa nuova fase della città, riteniamo debba essere una persona capace di interpretare lo spirito del tempo, aperta al dialogo, sensibile ai temi della partecipazione e pronta a mettersi al servizio della comunità con competenza e dedizione. Una persona che sappia ascoltare, valorizzare le energie vive del territorio, costruire ponti tra realtà diverse e portare avanti una visione condivisa e progressista di futuro. Pensiamo a un profilo credibile e autorevole, espressione di un rinnovamento non solo anagrafico ma culturale e politico, che possa rappresentare con equilibrio e trasparenza l’intera alleanza e i cittadini tutti. Il candidato o la candidata dovrà essere espressione condivisa dell’intera alleanza, capace di unire e non dividere, rappresentando una reale volontà di cambiamento nella politica locale e nel rapporto con i cittadini. Una figura libera, indipendente e capace di garantire un governo attento, inclusivo e orientato al bene comune.
Arezzo ha bisogno di voltare pagina, di essere ripensata come “città per vivere”, dopo anni di politiche che l’hanno trasformata in una “città per consumare”. È tempo di visione, coraggio e partecipazione.
