La notizia dei numerosi accessi al Pronto soccorso di Città di Castello nella notte di Halloween da parte di oltre una decina di minori per abuso di alcol, non può lasciarci indifferenti né essere derubricata a bravata festaiola, del tutto improvvisa o isolata.

L’interpellanza che ho presentato non è certo per cercare responsabili o capri espiatori, ma per avviare una riflessione politica e sociale seria e costruttiva, che analizzi un fenomeno tristemente comune e diffuso per trovare insieme le modalità più efficaci per ridurlo e prevenirlo. Siamo infatti di fronte a episodi purtroppo non isolati, che si ripetono ad ogni weekend (e non solo): basta vedere le numerose bottiglie vuote di alcolici e superalcolici lasciate nei giardini, piazze e parchi cittadini, accanto a qualche resto di cibo; situazione tipica di giovanissimi che non hanno, come altri più grandi o adulti, luoghi diversi dove ritrovarsi e consumare. Per non parlare di cosa succede in occasioni di feste private o pubbliche, com’è stata quella del 31 ottobre, o fuori dalle discoteche, quando il divertimento viene confuso con lo sballo e con la perdita di controllo, fino a farsi male e a rischiare la salute o la vita.Urgono azioni congiunte, non soluzioni semplicistiche o punitive, che coinvolgano tutti i soggetti, a tappeto e non sporadicamente, a partire dai ragazzini e dai giovani rendendoli protagonisti di percorsi di consapevolezza e sensibilizzazione sulla pericolosità dell’alcol, che è molto più socialmente accettato rispetto ad altre sostanza psicotrope, ma ugualmente e , a volte più, pericoloso.Abbiamo il dovere, come adulti e come istituzioni, di affrontare in maniera coordinata un problema complesso come questo: la volontà dei singoli è importante, ma uno scatto in avanti potrebbe arrivare dal coordinamento di un ente importante come il Comune che potrebbe supportare progetti e potenziare la rete delle realtà che già operano, con una visione di insieme che coinvolga i servizi socio sanitari, le scuole, la polizia locale, le associazioni dei genitori e la comunità educante tutta.
In questa ottica, fondamentale sarà l’inserimento nel nuovo Piano Socio sanitario in preparazione, di un ampio capitolo e di nuove risorse per la prevenzione.
