Prima uscita in notturna della Maggiolata Lucignanese alla presenza del Prefetto Maddalena De Luca. Tra i presenti, il Prefetto di Arezzo Maddalena De Luca e il comandante della Compagnia Carabinieri di Cortona, capitano Antonio De Santis, che hanno accolto ieri sera l’invito del sindaco di Lucignano, Roberta Casini.
“Un paese meravigliosamente conservato – ha dichiarato De Luca – una manifestazione alla quale ho assistito con curiosità per la prima volta, rimanendone particolarmente coinvolta. Lucignano rappresenta alla perfezione la bellezza del nostro territorio e qui ho potuto constatare una coesione e un’unita d’intenti tra i cittadini davvero non comune che consentono il raggiungimento di grandi risultati”.
La serata è stata caratterizzata dalla parata e dall’esibizione in piazza delle Logge di bande, di gruppi folcloristici e dei quattro carri, il cui passaggio è stato scandito da calorosi applausi di ammirazione. “Ancora più belli di notte”, è l’opinione generalizzata sui carri: “Balloon dog”, il cagnolino di palloncini di Porta San Giusto, “Sacred heart”, il grande Sacro cuore incartato di Via dell’amore, “Craching egg”, l’uovo simbolo di vita e nascita di Porta San Giovanni e “Bouquet of tulips”, l’omaggio alle vittime di atti terroristici in Francia di Porta Murata. L’edizione del ritorno della Maggiolata, stavolta senza competizione, con la novità della proposta di creazioni dedicate al grande artista Jeff Koons, sta ottenendo uno straordinario successo e unanimi consensi, “tanto che – ha rivelato il direttore artistico e assessore al turismo Stefano Cresti – abbiamo deciso di scrivere al Maestro in persona, informandolo dell’omaggio di Lucignano ad alcune delle sue opere più iconiche. Non sappiamo se risponderà, ci tenevamo ad informarlo”.
La Maggiolata, con il patrocinio dell’amministrazione comunale, della Regione Toscana, della Provincia di Arezzo e dell’associazione dei Borghi più belli d’Italia, prosegue con tanti appuntamenti ogni giorno e le proposte di eccellenze enogastronomiche tradizionali negli stand, in attesa delle prossime uscite previste per domenica 29 e il gran finale di mercoledì 1 giugno, ancora in notturna, con la storica e attesissima “battaglia dei fiori” per le vie del paese.
