“L’estate è momento di vacanza e spensieratezza per eccellenza, dichiara Massimo Mandò direttore del Dipartimento Emergenza/Urgenza della Asl Toscana sud est, ma è anche un periodo in cui ci sentiamo più liberi di vivere esperienze all’aria aperta e mettendo alla prova le nostre capacità fisiche. Tra i consigli che mi sento di dare a tutti per vivere questo periodo in massima tranquillità c’è quello di scaricare nel proprio smartphone la app “Where Are U” che consente a noi del mondo dell’emergenza, e non solo sanitaria, di geolocalizzare la persona in tempo reale qualora dovessi aver bisogno di aiuto.
E’ importante che questa tecnologia sia più diffusa possibile. Da qui si può comporre direttamente il numero unico di emergenza 112 e l’operatore che risponde, indirizza in pochi istanti verso la centrale di cui c’è bisogno, sia sanitaria o forze dell’ordine. Attraverso l’utilizzo dell’App, chi risponde alla richiesta di aiuto la persona viene geolocalizzata direttamente, risparmiando minuti preziosi per l’arrivo dei soccorsi sul posto.” Il sistema è complesso, ma molto efficace, precisa Mandò: ad esempio l’operatore dell’emergenza sanitaria cui è affidata la chiamata con richiesta di aiuto, non è lo stesso professionista che opererà sul campo; per questo motivo, saranno poste domande precise per consentire un primo inquadramento, al tempo stesso i soccorsi partiranno immediatamente e verranno aggiornati in tempo reale sulla posizione e situazione della persona. L’App “Where Are U” consente di chiedere aiuto anche nel caso in cui non si fosse in grado di parlare, attraverso un sms o la cosiddetta “chiamata muta”, in cui l’operatore in ricezione provvede a mandare i soccorsi grazie alla geolocalizzazione diretta.”
