Nuovo arredo urbano nel centro città A seguito dell’aggiudicazione del bando “Rigenerazione urbana in aree interne” promosso dalla Regione Toscana, con il progetto “Rigenerazione Urbana: da Palazzo Muglione ai Giardini di Piero della Francesca”, il Comune di Sansepolcro ha installato un nuovo arredo urbano che mette in risalto l’aspetto geometrico e prospettico dei singoli elementi collegati uno all’altro che soprattutto di notte assumono un aspetto ancor più affascinante grazie all’illuminazione a LED. Questo è solo uno degli importanti risultati che il progetto ha previsto per un investimento pari a 245 mila euro
L’arredo è in fase di ultimazione, ma fin da ora è possibile godere delle sedute e dei giochi di prospettiva su cui si è basto lo studio e la realizzazione di esso. Oltre a questo l’incarico in questione ha previsto il restauro e la rifunzionalizzazione di una parte di Palazzo Muglioni, sede dell’associazione CasermArcheologica, oltre ad un importante intervento di sistemazione di via Aggiunti, ribattezzata via dei Musei grazie alle diverse realtà presenti lungo questa arteria cittadina. Proprio la presenza di importanti palazzi ed istituzioni pubbliche come il museo Civico, Palazzo Muglioni (ex-caserma dei Carabinieri), la sede dell’Accademia del Merletto, la Casa natale di Piero della Francesca, la sede di un importante museo privato quale Aboca Museum e i Giardini di Piero della Francesca, fa sì che la zona in oggetto meriti senza ombra di dubbio maggiore attenzione da parte della comunità, sia in chiave turistica sia in chiave socioculturale, ponendo l’accento sulle eccellenze cittadine.
Per enfatizzare l’importanza di questa arteria urbana è prevista inoltre la pedonalizzazione occasionale dell’area interessata in occasione di particolari eventi o giorni di festa.
La strada avrà quindi la funzione di “agorà”, accogliendo un flusso che potrà percorrere e apprezzare la prospettiva disegnata dalle facciate dei palazzi, usufruire dei loro interni aperti al pubblico che accolgono grandi opere e godere dell’esterno e dei Giardini di Piero della Francesca.
Un altro passo in avanti verso una città sempre più a misura di turista.
