I colori della solidarietà illuminano la torre civica: da questa sera fino a venerdi sarà “rosa” e poi sabato prossimo, “turchese”. “Abbiamo scelto di aderire anche quest’anno alla campagna contro il tumore al seno, per sensibilizzare sull’importanza della prevenzione e far capire che, sempre più spesso, sottoporsi agli screening e agli esami di controllo raccomandati può realmente salvare la vita”, spiega l’assessore alle Politiche Sociali, Benedetta Calagreti, nell’annunciare che la torre simbolo della città in piazza Gabriotti sarà illuminata di “rosa” fino a venerdi prossimo. Sabato 8 Ottobre invece sarà il “turchese” a colorare la torre civica in occasione della Settimana nazionale della Dislessia coordinata dall’OIDEA e dalla Disfam. L’8 ottobre, in particolare, sarà ricordato l’undicesimo anniversario del varo della legge 170/2010, con cui lo Stato italiano ha riconosciuto ufficialmente la dislessia, la disgrafia, la disortografia e la discalculia quali disturbi specifici di apprendimento, denominati “DSA”. Come amministrazione – precisa ancora l’assessore Calagreti nel ringraziare il servizio tecnico del comune in tutte le sue componenti – ci stiamo focalizzando sulla necessità di trovare nuove strade e strategie che abbraccino le diverse esigenze di apprendimento di ciascuno. Crediamo che oggi sia necessario promuovere un’inclusione a tutto tondo, per ribadire che gli strumenti efficaci per le persone con DSA sono utili a far emergere il talento di tutti, non solo in ambito scolastico ma in tutti i contesti di vita. In occasione della Giornata Internazionale che si celebrerà come ogni anno l’8 ottobre, ci si propone di dare maggiore visibilità a questo disturbo dell’apprendimento, che colpisce almeno il 10% della popolazione mondiale.
