Lo spettacolo si divide in due storie, con alcuni protagonisti in comune. Nella prima storia, ‘Big Crunch’, una pioggia di sangue si sta abbattendo sul pianeta terra. Scienza e religione si interrogano sulle cause e i possibili effetti catastrofici. Nella seconda, ‘Storia d’Aurora’, un uomo chiede a Dio un miracolo che possa risolvere i suoi numerosi problemi, e di fatto qualcosa di incredibile accade…

Cronache del petrolio, attraverso il racconto di accadimenti altamente improbabili, si fa carico di voler raccontare i tempi moderni, in particolar modo il consumismo esasperato. Non si sfugge alla macchina, sosteneva Gilles Deleuze, e noi ne siamo parte integrante, anelli collegati di una interminabile catena di montaggio. Le due storie, “Big Crunch” e “Storia d’Aurora”, si soffermano su questi aspetti e il loro rapporto con la fede; la messa in scena è inoltre formata da proiezioni video che vanno ad integrarsi e a sostenere il racconto.
