Tale impatto ha anche gravato sul sistema economico aretino per le specificità dei suoi compiti e date le dimensioni territoriali della provincia aretina, la tutela del paesaggio e del patrimonio edilizio oltre alla sua storia artistica e culturale. La città di Arezzo e tutta la sua provincia sono custodi di una innumerevole quantità di beni architettonici, artistici e storici ereditati da secoli di civiltà e arte che la vedono ancora oggi collocarsi tra le mete culturali più apprezzate in Italia e all’estero”. Da qui la richiesta formulata. “Nella convinzione che la riforma del 2014 non ha portato alcun tipo di risparmio ma solo la perdita di un fondamentale punto di riferimento, chiediamo a sindaco e giunta di attivarsi con tutte le possibili iniziative verso gli organi di riferimento, compreso il Ministero dei Beni Culturali, affinchè Arezzo e il suo territorio possano riavere una sede autonoma in grado di agire”.
