A ridosso delle mura urbiche, nel tratto di accesso alle scale mobili, si aprirà una piazza urbana di collegamento al centro storico, snodo di una pista ciclopedonale che sarà allestita su parte dell’attuale carreggiata di via Nazario Sauro. All’intervento sarà collegato anche un altro investimento da 600 mila euro con fondi della Regione Umbria, cofinanziato per 250 mila euro dal Comune, con il quale sarà ampliato il parcheggio Raniero Collesi, aggiungendo 75 posti auto agli attuali 118, e sarà installato un ascensore che collegherà la nuova area di parcheggio e la viabilità ciclopedonale con il bastione del Cassero
