SANSEPOLCRO – Nelle settimane scorse sono stati eseguiti dalla ditta “IDC Disinfestazioni” gli interventi annuali per la rimozione dei nidi di processionaria al fine di evitare la diffusione degli insetti che oltre ad essere altamente pericolosi per gli animali ed essere molto fastidiosi per l’essere umano, sono altamente distruttivi per le piante, in particolar modo per i pini marittimi e neri; inoltre sono state collocate delle trappole a collare intorno al fusto delle piante con lo scopo di raccogliere le larve durante la discesa dalla pianta evitando così il proliferarsi delle stesse.
Diverse le zone interessate dagli interventi, seppure un po’ a macchia di leopardo in tutto il territorio biturgense, sono stati rimossi 117 nidi che si erano sviluppati su ben 41 piante nelle zone adiacenti l’ospedale, al Melello, nella zona Cisa, nell’area del cimitero urbano e nei giardini delle scuole Centofiori, Collodi e alla vecchia scuola elementare di Gricignano.
