
Correggio (RE), “Correggio Jazz” Teatro Asioli, ore 21:00 mIl concerto della On Time Band al Teatro Asioli di Correggio (RE) è un appuntamento caratterizzante di ogni edizione del festival Crossroads. Quest’anno si terrà domenica 28 maggio (inizio alle ore 21) con una produzione originale dal titolo assai programmatico: “Canzoniere delle donne”
Sul palco, una sorta di squadra nazionale del jazz italiano: Cristina Renzetti alla voce, Alessandro Paternesi alla batteria, Cristiano Arcelli a sax alto e flauto, Marcello Allulli al sax tenore, Francesco Diodati alla chitarra, Enrico Zanisi alle tastiere e Stefano Senni al contrabbasso. Un organico che sarà ancor più ricco grazie alla presenza in scena anche della On Time Variabile Orchestra, formazione composta dagli allievi dei seminari “Correggio On Time”. Crossroads 2023 è organizzato da Jazz Network in collaborazione con l’Assessorato alla Cultura della Regione Emilia-Romagna e con il sostegno del Ministero della Cultura e di numerose altre istituzioni. Il festival vanta il patrocinio di ANCI Emilia-Romagna e di SIAE. Il concerto è realizzato in collaborazione con il Comune di Correggio nell’ambito di Correggio Jazz. Dagli animatori, insegnanti e studenti, del workshop “On Time” che si tiene a Correggio nel periodo del festival nascono la On Time Band e la On Time Variabile Orchestra. La prima raccoglie gli otto docenti, tutti affermati talenti della scena jazz nazionale, tanto che l’organico è sostanzialmente una vera all stars del jazz made in Italy. Nella On Time Variabile Orchestra trovano invece spazio i migliori allievi dei seminari di quest’anno e i vincitori delle borse di studio dell’edizione precedente. Tra gli uni e gli altri, si raggiunge un organico da big band. Con simili forze, andrà in scena “Canzoniere delle donne”, una produzione originale appositamente concepita per mettere in risalto le doti dei giovani talenti emersi durante le giornate formative di Correggio. Per loro sarà anche un’occasione per cimentarsi al fianco di affermati professionisti: un vero battesimo per una nuova generazione di jazzisti. Giovanna Daffini, Maria Monti, Margot, Caterina Bueno, Giovanna Marini, Milly, Rosa Balistreri…: sono le donne protagoniste di un movimento musicale che più o meno sessant’anni fa, intorno al Nuovo Canzoniere Italiano, riscopriva e reinterpretava il canto ‘sociale’, popolare e di protesta. Questo concerto è un omaggio in chiave jazz a quelle donne e a un momento intenso e fecondo del nostro recente passato musicale.
