Sansepolcro – Festeggia il primo anniversario tondo il progetto di rigenerazione urbana che ha trasformato l’ex Caserma dei carabinieri di Sansepolcro in quello che oggi è un vero e proprio luogo di riferimento per la comunità e per gli artisti del panorama nazionale
Era nato come un ambizioso e affascinante progetto di rigenerazione urbana, che ha coinvolto studenti delle scuole superiori, professionisti, imprenditori, istituzioni e fondazioni. In dieci anni CasermArcheologica ha trasformato Palazzo Muglioni, nel cuore di Sansepolcro, in un luogo in continuo mutamento, pervaso da un flusso di creatività che lo trasforma continuamente, un luogo nel quale convivono le sue tante anime permanenti e che dialoga con il territorio: esposizioni, residenze artistiche, coworking, laboratori, progetti e tanto, tanto altro. Dopo il lungo lavoro di recupero degli spazi svolto, oggi è la stessa Associazione CasermArcheologica, diretta da Laura Caruso e da Ilaria Margutti, a gestirli, rendendoli accessibili come centro dedicato alle arti contemporanee, luogo di lavoro per giovani professionisti e di formazione. Caserma rappresenta uno spazio permanente di promozione culturale, un luogo in Valtiberina dedicato all’arte contemporanea e alle residenze d’artista, aperto durante tutto l’anno e accessibile a visite di scolaresche, turisti, cittadini. È uno spazio di coworking, inteso come riferimento per giovani professionisti che hanno CasermArcheologica come luogo di reciproca conoscenza, scambio e condivisione di progettualità. È un centro di formazione, sia per giovani allievi tra i 14 e i 18 anni, sia per cittadine e cittadini di ogni età. E infine, ma non per ultimo, una pratica di cittadinanza attiva e di promozione di percorsi di capacitazione. “Quando abbiamo avviato il processo di CasermArcheologica, dieci anni fa, ci siamo date come obiettivo quello di creare lavoro e di essere aperti tutti i giorni con attività diverse, in parte organizzate dalla nostra Associazione e altre proposte da associazioni esterne, da gruppi informali, da singoli cittadini e cittadine. – racconta Laura Caruso – A distanza di 10 anni lo spazio è frequentato da ragazzi e ragazze e da persone di ogni età che vengono per attività diverse, scolaresche e visitatori delle mostre, per fare laboratori con artisti e artiste, per studio in autonomia, per corsi di lingua e incontri di vario tipo. Con circa 4500 ingressi all’anno, frequentatori abituali e turisti che vengono da fuori, tra attività per cui è chiesto un biglietto di ingresso e moltissime occasioni a ingresso gratuito, e poi oltre 120 tra mostre e residenze artistiche CasermArcheologica rappresenta un luogo di riferimento non solo per la comunità biturgense ma per quella artistica nazionale”. Dentro le sue stanze, dagli intonaci imperfetti, si respira progetto, visione, futuro, pensiero. Dal 2013 ha raccontato innumerevoli storie, visto evolversi carriere artistiche, svilupparsi nuove identità o semplicemente condividere e ritrovarsi. “Casermarcheologica nasce da un desiderio di condivisione che basa la sua identità sulla visione di creare un luogo di comunità e di cura dedicato alle generazioni che verranno dopo di noi. Queste stanze sono da sempre un’ispirazione a coltivare “l’immaginazione” e la meraviglia, bisogni primari dell’essere umano, necessarie per formare la propria personalità interiore e per riconoscersi nel mondo complesso in cui viviamo. – dice Ilaria Margutti. Situata in una delle aree interne del Paese, CasermArcheologica opera pensando questo spazio non come a margine o in periferia, ma come centro, dimensione laboratoriale che permette il dialogo con i diversi attori sociali e con le istituzioni e da cui è possibile osservare, riflettere e agire attivamente. L’intento, per nulla scontato, è quello di lasciare un’eredità al territorio, che parta dalle esigenze della cittadinanza attraverso il recupero del palazzo, un luogo in cui poter sperimentare nuove direzioni necessarie per aprirsi alla socialità e all’immaginazione. “Il futuro di caserma lo vediamo come un grande libro nel quale quotidianamente si depositano, e si depositeranno ancora, storie, incontri, idee, un luogo abitato da persone che nel suo interno possano trovare la loro possibilità di sperimentarsi, di crescere e di confrontarsi con figure professionali, con artisti e poeti che, come maestri e guide del futuro, ci conducano a riconoscere gli strumenti necessari per affrontare i cambiamenti che ci aspettano.”
