Giovedì 29 giugno ad Anghiari si svolgerà l’edizione 2023 del Palio della Vittoria. Appuntamento da non perdere e programma che si annuncia come da tradizione intenso per la manifestazione che dal 2003 celebra la battaglia combattuta nel 1440, scontro che ridisegnò i confini della Toscana e che divenne famoso anche grazie alla misteriosa opera di Leonardo Da Vinci.
Quello del 2023 sarà il 19° atto dell’era moderna, promosso ed organizzato come sempre dall’Associazione Culturale Palio della Vittoria. Il programma si aprirà nel tardo pomeriggio con la rievocazione storica della Battaglia, caratterizzata dall’ingresso in Piazza Baldaccio dei Sindaci, dei cavalieri, dei cortei storici di Anghiari, Sansepolcro, Firenze ed Arezzo e che culminerà al calar del sole con la partenza della “corsa più pazza del mondo”.
I valorosi atleti, in rappresentanza dei comuni di appartenenza, si sfideranno infatti nei 1440 metri che caratterizzano la corsa a piedi con la possibilità di ostacolarsi fisicamente e/o di agevolare il capitano della squadra attraverso trattenute, spinte, placcaggi. Un’autentica battaglia sportiva (nei limiti del consentito ovviamente) resa ancora più impegnativa dalle arcigne pendenze della Ruga di San Martino, la salita che contraddistingue Anghiari e che porterà gli atleti al traguardo, situato in Piazza Baldaccio. La competizione agonistica scatterà dalla Cappella della Vittoria, nel luogo in cui il 29 giugno del 1440 si svolse la Battaglia di Anghiari e premierà non il singolo corridore, ma il Comune rappresentato, che riceverà l’ambito PALIO. Al termine della cerimonia di premiazione si svolgerà la cena della vittoria lungo le antiche mura del paese, in un’atmosfera di festa e in un contesto meraviglioso. Tante le iniziative previste nei giorni precedenti alla manifestazione, a partire dalla Benedizione del Palio e dalla “provaccia” (aperta a tutti gli atleti che vorranno “provare la gamba” sull’impegnativa salita) in programma domenica 25 giugno attorno alle 20:30. Nei prossimi giorni seguiranno ulteriori info sulla 19ª edizione dell’era moderna del Palio della Vittoria (evento iscritto dal 2014 al Comitato delle Associazioni e Manifestazioni di rievocazione e ricostruzione storica della Regione Toscana), in riferimento alle altre iniziative e ai vari comuni che prenderanno parte alla corsa.
