Sarà un’estate “calda” di concerti, musica, danza. Insieme a Mengo Festival e Arezzo Music Fest Spazio Seme propone 4 date di concerti e danza che spaziano da jazz a musica tradizionale, dai musical di broadway alla danza contemporanea. Grazie al suo network di partner internazionali Spazio Seme ogni estate organizza residenze artistiche e opportunità formative per professionisti di musica, canto, teatro e movimento insieme a un cartellone di eventi aperti al pubblico, sempre con uno sguardo alla molteplicità dei linguaggi e ad un respiro internazionale. Per il 2023 sono 4 le date realizzate da Spazio Seme insieme a Mengo e Arezzo Music Fest a cui si aggiungono molte novità e appuntamenti estivi a breve disponibili sul sito www.spazioseme.com
Martedì – 4 Luglio – Teatro Petrarca ore 21.15 – JAZZ ON BROADWAY
Sul palco protagoniste le voci di 20 cantanti americani: le atmosfere di celebri musical di Broadway come “Porgy & Bess”, “Les Miserables”, “The Phantom of Opera”, “The Sound of Music”, “Sister Act”, “The Wizard of Oz”, “Aladdin” si alterneranno a classici Jazz di grandi autori, da George Gershwin a Richard Rogers, da Harold Arlen a Duke Ellington e molti altri. Non mancheranno esecuzioni che attingono al repertorio italiano, come il brano per coro e voce “Nella fantasia”, ispirato alla colonna sonora del film The Mission, che vide tra i suoi compositori anche Ennio Morricone. Ad accompagnare le voci, un ensemble di Oida Orchestra Instabile di Arezzo composto da sette jazzisti: Francesco Sarrini contrabbasso, Dario Rossi batteria, Daniele Nasi sassofono, Andrea del Vescovo tromba, Paolo Acquaviva trombone, Federico Nuti pianoforte, Paula Gelpi tastiere e dal quartetto archi di Oida guidato da Lorenzo Rossi, primo violino e direttore della stessa orchestra, insieme a Marna Fumarola violino, Elisa Pieschi violoncello, Erika Capanni viola. L’ensemble musicale verrà diretto dal maestro Whittaker Locke della Columbus State University.

Luca Rossi e la sua inseparabile tammorra ci accompagneranno in uno spettacolo intimo e incentrato sulla musica tradizionale della Campania, la tammurriata, le antiche preghiere, i racconti e le serenate.
Luca Rossi è considerato tra i maggiori esponenti della tammorra e della musica tradizionale del sud Italia. Da anni porta il suo antico tamburo a cornice in giro per il mondo da Roma a Parigi, da Atene a Berlino passando per Yerevan, Tangeri e Dakar. Il suono della sua tammorra ha incontrato nel corso degli anni molte collaborazioni in tour, dischi e colonne sonore. Da Enzo Avitabile a Teresa de Sio, dalla Nuova Compagnia di Canto Popolare all’ ultimo spettacolo diretto da Nicolas Jaar “Weavings” presentato al Lincoln Center di New York e la tounrnée in Cile con gli Inti Illimani. A seguire un frammento di Mosaico Mediterraneo, progetto musicale nato nel 2008 in collaborazione con Gianni Bruschi, Marna Fumarola, Marco Lazzeri
Venerdì – 4 Agosto – Teatro Vasariano ore 19 – MOVING ENVIRONNEMENT – Spettacolo di danza contemporanea Performance di danza a conclusione del programma residenziale internazionale di due settimane intensive di ricerca sul movimento attraverso la Composizione Istantanea e Contact Improvisation e pratiche somatiche guidati da Paolo Cingolani (IT), Consuelo Pacheco (CL/IT), Leonardo Lambruschini (IT), Susan Haines (USA), Andrea Vazquez-Aguirre (USA/MX).
Giovedì – 31 Agosto – Spazio Seme ore 21.15 STORIE JAZZ
Una serata per ripercorrere i brani classici del jazz, un repertorio accompagnato da letture su curiosità, aneddoti, storie di vita di grandi jazzisti del ‘900, da Duke Ellington a Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Rey Charles e altri. Sul palco di Spazio Seme si esibiranno Gianni Bruschi (voce), Ivan Elefante (tromba), Francesco Sarrini (contrabbasso), Federico Nuti (pianoforte), Dario Rossi (batteria); testi e letture a cura di Francesco Botti. Un tributo al genere musicale che ha contribuito a incentivare il dialogo tra popoli e culture diverse, veicolo di rispetto dei diritti umani, finalizzato a rafforzare l’uguaglianza abbattendo ogni forma di discriminazione.
