“Con l’omaggio ad Aldo Riguccini, il celeberrimo De Rigu, si rinnova un appuntamento classico dell’estate di Città di Castello con l’intrattenimento firmato dal Club 8.3, nel segno del contributo alla conoscenza di una pagina importante della storia tifernate caratterizzata da un personaggio che ha saputo lasciare una traccia di stile inimitabile come pittore, scultore e designer nel mondo dell’arte, della ceramica, della moda e dell’arredamento”. L’assessore al Commercio e al Turismo Letizia Guerri sottolinea così l’iniziativa del Club 8.3, che celebrerà i trent’anni dalla morte dell’artista con una mostra nel museo della Tela Umbra in programma dal 12 al 31 luglio e con una sfilata di moda alle ore 21.00 di giovedì 13 luglio, in piazza Gabriotti. “Grazie all’idea della presidente Giuliana Veschi Cesarotti e al lavoro delle infaticabili socie del Club 8.3 – osserva Guerri – la città avrà l’opportunità di vivere due momenti che offriranno la degna testimonianza di una esperienza irripetibile, riproposta oggi all’ombra dei monumenti e del patrimonio artistico e culturale che le fece da culla”. Nato nel luglio del 1913 nella sua casa in via Cerboni, dove morì nel 1992, Aldo Riguccini si diplomò alla Scuola Operaia Bufalini e poi si iscrisse nel Reale istituto d’Arte di Perugia dove si concluse gli studi nel 1930 nella classe di decorazione murale. Grazie al lascito Cassarotti e all’Opera Laica Privata Segapeli, ebbe l’opportunità di frequentare l’accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze concludendo gli studi tra il 1936 e il 1937. “Subito – ricordano le socie del Club 8.3 – iniziò ad estrinsecare la sua molteplice personalità d’artista con opere ad affresco, mostre collettive e personali, con illustrazioni litografiche e incisioni in linoleum e, come disegner, nel mondo della moda, della ceramica, del tessuto, dell’arredo. Ebbe animo e sentimenti d’artista sensibilissimo e umanissimo con i suoi slanci, le sue passioni, le sue rabbie, le sue estrosità”.
