SANSEPOLCRO – Un altro tassello importante per la sanità della Valtiberina si è aggiunto in questi giorni all’insegna della riconquistata autonomia della Zona. Sono state, infatti, costituite dalla ASL le Unità Funzionali del Dipartimento della Prevenzione: i servizi che a breve saranno riattivati localmente sono quelli dell’Igiene pubblica e della nutrizione, della Prevenzione, igiene e sicurezza sui luoghi di lavoro, della Sanità pubblica veterinaria e della Sicurezza alimentare.
Essi potranno finalmente tornare ad essere organizzati e gestiti direttamente dalla Valtiberina, con grande beneficio per la popolazione, in termini di lettura dei bisogni e di efficacia delle risposte. A differenza dei servizi territoriali di competenza del Distretto, riorganizzati autonomamente nella nostra Zona da oltre un anno, quelli sopra citati, che dipendono dal Dipartimento della Prevenzione, erano rimasti accorpati, come per il Casentino, ad Arezzo. Tale ritardo, che ha comportato dipendenza da Arezzo e forte decurtazione del personale operante in Valtiberina, aveva dato luogo nel recente passato a malumori e a una ferma presa di posizione del Comune di Sansepolcro. L’assessore Menichella aveva pubblicamente espresso il proprio disappunto affermando: “La prevenzione in Valtiberina è figlia di un Dio minore?”. Lo stesso sindaco Innocenti, come Presidente della Conferenza dei sindaci della Valtiberina, in occasione dell’incontro del Giugno scorso con la Commissione Sanità del Consiglio regionale, in visita all’Ospedale di Sansepolcro, ha rivolto direttamente al Direttore Generale dell’Azienda USL la ferma e specifica richiesta di ripristinare l’autonomia organizzativa dei Servizi della Prevenzione nella nostra vallata. Ad essa il dottor D’Urso ha prontamente risposto rimuovendo questo vulnus organizzativo. L’Amministrazione comunale esprime, a nome di tutta la Valtiberina, piena soddisfazione per questo risultato e ringrazia D’Urso per aver raccolto quanto opportunamente segnalato. “Naturalmente – osserva l’assessore Menichella – dopo lo ristabilimento in loco delle Unità Funzionali della Prevenzione dovranno arrivare anche le risorse necessarie a ripristinare effettivamente quei servizi, in particolare quelle professionali, visto che in alcuni ambiti esse si sono notevolmente assottigliate, a causa dei pensionamenti e dei conferimenti di incarichi in altre Zone”.
