“Da qualche tempo abbiamo battezzato il nostro progetto in duo «My Way To You» (nome preso in prestito dallo standard di Michel Legrand «On My Way To You»), un titolo programmatico per dire che nell’intrecciare la mia voce e il suo pianismo ciascuno dei due, a suo modo e con le proprie caratteristiche, trova la strada verso l’altro, ripercorrendo i molti progetti che ci hanno uniti in questi ventisei anni di dischi, concerti, viaggi insieme verso mete comuni e incontri a metà strada mentre ci si ascolta con complicità e attenzione”. Michela Lombardi, elegante e delicata voce apprezzata anche negli Stati Uniti (tanto che ha scritto un brano con Burt Bacharach), è una delle migliori cantanti jazz italiane e collabora da molti anni con Frassi, con cui ha inciso numerosi dischi – due dei quali dedicati a Sting & The Police – maturando col pianista pisano un elevato sodalizio umano e artistico. È docente di canto jazz al Conservatorio di La Spezia. Piero Frassi, pianista jazz a livello internazionale, compositore e arrangiatore, ha collaborato, tra gli altri, con Lee Konitz, Phil Woods e Nico Gori. Dallo stile poliedrico, ha accompagnato in concerto molti cantanti famosi tra cui Andrea Bocelli, Matteo Bocelli e Karima. È inoltre docente presso l’Accademia Siena Jazz.
