CITTA’ DI CASTELLO – L’ assessore alla Viabilità e Polizia Locale Braccalenti risponde in consiglio comunale all’interrogazione di Gatticchi (PD) “In fase di sopralluogo con alcuni residenti, la problematica principale emersa in via Giovanni Falcone è quella del superamento del limite di velocità da parte dei veicoli in transito e quindi ci siamo resi disponibili a individuare alcune soluzioni per contrastare questo tipo di violazione: da una prima verifica da parte dei nostri uffici tecnici,

non si tratta di un percorso di primario utilizzo da parte dei mezzi di soccorso, quindi la Polizia Locale sta valutando la possibilità di installare dissuasori di velocità per costringere a limitare la velocità di percorrenza della via, ovviamente nel rispetto delle norme del Codice della Strada”. E’ quanto ha dichiarato in consiglio comunale l’assessore alla Viabilità e alla Polizia Locale Rodolfo Braccalenti, rispondendo all’interrogazione sulla sicurezza stradale in via Giovanni Falcone, a Cerbara, del capogruppo del PD Gionata Gatticchi. Il consigliere di maggioranza aveva sollevato la necessità di valutare le condizioni di sicurezza di “un percorso che costeggia la scuola primaria e dell’infanzia di Cerbara e richiede per questo maggiore attenzione, vista la presenza di bambini”. “Non sempre i veicoli in transito rispettano i limiti di velocità”, aveva fatto presente Gatticchi, chiedendo “l’adozione di alcune cautele, come l’installazione di dissuasori o l’istituzione del senso unico di marcia”. “So che anche i residenti si sono attivati per richiedere questo tipo di interventi”, aveva puntualizzato l’esponente del PD, che aveva aggiunto: “comprendo la difficoltà di prevedere un senso unico, ma l’installazione quantomeno di dissuasori mi sembra una soluzione veramente utile per una strada che vede, appunto, la presenza di bambini che escono dalle scuole e dove a volte il passaggio di auto a velocità decisamente superiore ai limiti consentiti può portare dei problemi di sicurezza”. L’assessore Braccalenti ha dato conto delle segnalazioni pervenute e del sopralluogo condotto con il personale comunale del Servizio Viabilità e della Polizia Locale lo scorso 28 agosto, alla presenza di alcuni residenti. “Da una prima valutazione – ha riferito l’assessore – l’istituzione di un senso unico penalizzerebbe alcune attività commerciali che hanno l’accesso solo in via Falcone e  condizionerebbe la funzionalità di un percorso che unisce la parte principale dell’abitato di Cerbara con alcuni servizi e il centro commerciale posti a nord, andando a costringere diversi residenti a transitare sua via Biturgense e a intensificare ulteriormente il traffico lungo questa arteria stradale”.  “I dissuasori, invece – ha osservato Braccalenti – potrebbero risultare più utili per limitare la velocità di percorrenza di via Falcone”. In sede di replica, il consigliere Gatticchi si è detto soddisfatto dell’impegno assunto dall’assessore. “Sicuramente questo è un primo passo”, ha riconosciuto il rappresentante del PD, invitando a “valutare anche ulteriori soluzioni, strada facendo, come l’abbassamento del limite di velocità da 50 a 30 chilometri orari, analogamente a quanto fatto in altre zone della città”.
