“La vela è per tutti”: presentato stamattina a Città di Castello il progetto rivolto alle persone con disabilità di cui è promotore e testimonial Alessio Campriani Con le sue imprese ha stupito ed emozionato, ma soprattutto ha fatto comprendere che un velista può nascere ovunque e comunque, anche in un territorio dove il mare non c’è, come Città di Castello.
Ecco perché con il progetto “La vela è per tutti”, che è stato presentato ufficialmente stamattina in una piazza Andrea Costa gremita da tanti appassionati di sport e resa festosa dall’allegria di tanti bambini delle scuole primarie di La Tina e Lerchi con i loro genitori, Alessio Campriani porterà con sé in barca le persone con disabilità, per testimoniare come persino la barriera della navigazione in acqua possa essere abbattuta, con passione, coraggio e i giusti insegnamenti di chi conosce tutti i segreti del mare. Dopo la prova generale del 23 settembre scorso, il progetto nato da un’idea del Circolo Velico Centro Italia, di cui Campriani è presidente, e sviluppato in collaborazione con il Panathlon Valtiberino, il patrocinio del Comune di Città di Castello e dell’Assemblea Legislativa dell’Umbria, la Cooperativa “La Rondine”, il Circolo del Remo e della Vela e la Protezione Civile S.W.R.T.U. Soccorso Alluvionale, decollerà la prossima estate con il supporto economico di alcuni sponsor: saranno organizzate almeno tre giornate presso il lago della diga di Montedoglio per offrire l’opportunità di salire in barca a tutti e coinvolgere il più possibile giovani e adulti disabili, insieme alle famiglie e alle associazioni di cui fanno parte e al mondo della scuola. “L’impresa della traversata dell’oceano atlantico in solitaria ha acceso una luce su ciò che facciamo insieme al mio team con cui vogliamo illuminare la velaterapia, come strumento di inclusione e crescita per la disabilità cognitiva. L’obiettivo è di portare sempre più persone a contatto con gli sport acquatici, e la vela in particolare, guardando prima di tutto a chi ha una disabilità, a chi è meno fortunato, ma ha tutte le possibilità di salire in barca e navigare”, ha spiegato stamattina Campriani, presentando con la giornalista Alba Severini il progetto nel cuore di Città di Castello, davanti alla barca dei record, la Cepu Pinki I con cui ha solcato l’Atlantico. “Vogliamo avere un respiro nazionale, dare un segnale e far capire che tutte le barriere possono essere abbattute e che tutti devono avere l’opportunità di conoscere le meraviglie della vela, l’acqua e i segreti della navigazione”, ha chiarito il velista tifernate, portando ad esempio il presidente onorario del Circolo Velico Centro Italia, Danilo Malerba, campione del mondo di vela non vedenti e detentore di un record mondiale di lunga percorrenza. “La vela, la sfida di una regata, il confronto con gli elementi naturali, lo spirito di corpo che nasce su un’imbarcazione – ha detto Malerba – sono fattori di grande crescita per persone con disabilità, esperienze importantissime che con questo progetto sarà possibile aprire davvero a tutti”. A sottolineare come “lo sport sia un potente strumento di superamento degli ostacoli fisici, ma anche culturali, per le persone con disabilità” è stato il presidente del Panathlon Valtiberina Giovanni Tasegian, che ha messo in evidenza “la grande sintonia con Campriani su un progetto innovativo, che guarda all’affermazione delle prerogative di queste persone e con esse della piena cittadinanza nella società in cui vivono, studiano e lavorano”. A dare il segnale di un sostegno forte e convinto al progetto e all’impegno sul versante della disabilità sono stati i rappresentanti istituzionali presenti. “I valori sociali e le doti sportive hanno una caratteristica in comune: devono essere allenati. Questo progetto porta direttamente in barca, allena i sani principi della pratica sportiva, ma anche il valore della solidarietà, che fa pensare non solo a se stessi, al proprio risultato, ma al risultato di una comunità, che è quello di includere tutti e non lasciare nessuno indietro”, ha sottolineato il sindaco Luca Secondi, nel portare anche il saluto degli assessori allo Sport Riccardo Carletti e alla Politiche Sociali Benedetta Calagreti. Il primo cittadino ha ringraziato Campriani e tutti i protagonisti del progetto per un impegno che “rende onore alla nostra comunità e ci inorgoglisce”. La vice presente dell’Assemblea Legislativa dell’Umbria Paola Fioroni ha condiviso l’apprezzamento della massima istituzione regionale per il progetto, rimarcando come sia una fondamentale conquista di civiltà rendere possibile la pratica della vela e di tutti gli sport a chiunque, soprattutto alle persone con disabilità, che nella società incontrano spesso maggiori ostacoli culturali, che fisici”. L’esibizione del ventriloquo tifernate Andrea Radicchi, che ha fatto ridere e divertire dal palco, e il canto bello e sentito dei bambini del coro delle voci bianche delle scuole di La Tina e Lerchi, che hanno intonato l’inno nazionale sotto la direzione della maestra Anna Marini, alla presenza degli insegnanti, del dirigente scolastico del Secondo Circolo Didattico Simone Casucci e della vice dirigente Giada Marini, hanno fatto da contorno alle premiazioni della mattinata. La vice presidente Fioroni ha testimoniato l’apprezzamento per le imprese di Campriani e del Team Cepu Pinky con due gagliardetti istituzionali, uno per l’impresa velistica della traversata dell’Atlatico e l’altro per il loro impegno sociale. Il sindaco Secondi ha sottolineato meriti sportivi e valore dell’attenzione per la comunità e i suoi bisogni con due targhe, una per il velista tifernate e l’altra per la sua squadra. Al culmine della cerimonia, a Campriani è stato consegnato ufficialmente dal delegato della rivista Vela Antonello Roccetti il premio “Velista dell’anno 2023-categoria Passion” per l’impresa della traversata atlantica. Per un’altra “impresa”, quella di aver navigato nelle acque del lago di Montedoglio nella giornata sperimentale del progetto “La vela è per tutti”, il presidente del Circolo del Remo e della Vela, Stefano Provincia, ha premiato insieme al presidente del gruppo di Protezione Civile S.W.R.T.U. Soccorso Alluvionale, Giampiero Calagreti, i protagonisti di quella giornata: Alessia Romolini, Katty Riccardini, Domenico Alunni, Alessandro Massi, Gianluca Cittadoni, Monica Nesci, Salvatore Ascione, Raffaele Fabrizi, Alessio Vouttier. Sul palco è salito anche Bernardo Marioli, vicepresidente dell’associazione umbra “A bordo”, che è la capofila del progetto europeo Erasmus “Sailing Four Inclusion” finalizzato alla redazione di un testo unico europeo sulla Velaterapia. A offrire un piacevole momento conviviale dopo le emozioni della mattinata ci hanno pensato a conclusione dell’iniziativa gli allievi del corso di ristorazione dell’ASP G.O. Bufalini, sotto la guida dello chef Andrea Cesari e della barlady Sara Polidori.
