mozione del capogruppo (Misto-Azione), Luciana Bassini. “In Umbria il carcinoma della mammella è il tumore più frequente nel sesso femminile e, rappresentando il 23,4% di tutte le neoplasie femminili, resta la prima causa di morte per tumore (13,5% di tutte le morti per neoplasia). Tuttavia, accanto ad un aumento dell’incidenza, si registra una riduzione della mortalità, attribuibile in primo luogo ai progressi terapeutici e alla diagnosi precoce che hanno innalzato la percentuale di sopravvivenza a 5 anni dalla diagnosi fino all’86 per cento in Umbria. La Regione Umbria – precisa Bassini nella mozione – nell’ottica di prevenire tale patologia, già nel 2007 ha avviato lo screening per la diagnosi precoce del carcinoma della mammella garantendo una mammografia biennale a tutte le donne tra i 50 e i 69 anni. A partire dal 2016, lo screening mammografico biennale è stato esteso alle donne fino a 74 anni di età, nel riconoscere alla Regione dell’Umbra di avere fatto un passo avanti si richiede un ulteriore sforzo”. La mozione presentata, “impegna il Sindaco e la Giunta Comunale affinché sollecitino fortemente la Regione dell’Umbria e i suoi Organi di governo al fine di estendere lo screening per la diagnosi precoce del tumore della mammella a tutte le donne residenti nel territorio regionale, al compimento dei 45 anni di età, così come già avviene in molte Regioni italiane”
