PIEVE SANTO STEFANO – Dieci anni. Dieci anni di crescita di un museo che ha messo “piccolo” nel suo titolo, per scelta. Piccolo non solo per la misura delle sale che lo compongono ma per il peso della dimensione intima che è caratteristica del Piccolo museo del diario.
E continuerà a rimanere piccolo anche negli spazi molto più grandi del Complesso delle Monache, il luogo dove avrà sede insieme al suo naturale genitore, l’Archivio dei diari, quando finalmente tutte le anime di questi luoghi di memoria saranno raccolte in un unico spazio condiviso. Il 7 dicembre di dieci anni fa lo abbiamo inaugurato in un incontro semplice e partecipato.Da lì a oggi è stato traversato da molti eventi, evoluzioni, ampliamenti di orario, inserimento di bigliettazione, creazione del Bookshop, del sito, dell’attività didattica, riconoscimenti, premi. Ma è stato soprattutto visitato e amato dai suoi visitatori. Perché questo è il ruolo di un museo: essere frequentato e amato. Dal primo anno di bigliettazione, il 2017, a oggi, il museo ha raddoppiato i suoi numeri superando il blocco imposto dalla pandemia. La particolarità del Piccolo museo del diario è che ogni visitatore, anche da solo, è accompagnato in una visita guidata: una scelta di stile. Nei musei in genere la visita guidata la decidi a parte. Nel nostro è parte integrante dell’esperienza e le tante recensioni dimostrano quanto questo scambio con chi conduce i visitatori nelle sale rimane impresso, ha un impatto che a volte è pari alle storie che il visitatore incontra in un museo tecnologico pieno di rapporto umano.Così, nel decimo anniversario, abbiamo deciso di non fare particolari celebrazioni. Semplicemente lasciamo aperte le porte del museo tutto il giorno gratuitamente perché la visita è il suo vero punto di forza. E non vediamo l’ora di accompagnarvi oggi e in tutti i 360 giorni di apertura annuale. Ma ci sono azioni che ognuno di voi può fare per augurare buon compleanno al Piccolo museo del diario. La prima è una donazione. Piccola – pure lei – ma anche grande se si vuole. Una donazione che attesta appartenenza e affetto e che sarà investita nella crescita di un museo che, con le sue tecnologie, ha continue necessità di manutenzione e cura. La seconda azione è rivolta ai simboli di memoria che il museo mette in vendita tutto l’anno anche online e che sono una preziosa fonte si sostegno. Abbiamo realizzato una linea di quaderni che lanciamo oggi 7 dicembre 2023. Sono scelti fra i diari che come immagine richiamano più di altre la trama della carta. Clelia Marchi usa un lenzuolo come una pagina bianca da riempire, Vincenzo Rabito occupa tutto lo spazio del foglio dattilografando le righe che quasi si sfiorano, la contessa Emilia intreccia le sue linee in orizzontale e verticale in una geometria di quadrati che sembra un ricamo.Potete acquistare singolarmente i quaderni con le pagine bianche, a righe, a quadretti, rilegati con un filo cucito che tiene insieme le pagine da riempire o prenderli tutti tre, confezionati con una piccola – pure lei – borsina in cotone riciclato
