Sansepolcro – La mostra dedicata al tema della resilienza vegetale e umana Dal 9 marzo al 28 aprile a CasermArcheologica Esposte le opere di Andrea Salvatori, artista in residenza a CasermArcheologica in un percorso verde a cura di Aboca Museum
Venti opere, tra sculture e installazioni. Circa cento piante. Un unico ambiente. È questo il Giardino del futuro, il progetto espositivo che dal 9 marzo al 28 aprile 2024 sarà protagonista a CasermArcheologica di Sansepolcro. Le opere esposte, realizzate dall’artista faentino Andrea Salvatori, saranno affiancate da una collezione di piante selezionate da Aboca Museum. Un’unica mostra – realizzata con la partecipazione del gruppo locale di Fridays For Future – per riflettere sul futuro del nostro pianeta, sulla nostra capacità di adattamento, sulla resilienza umana e vegetale. Il giardino del futuro nasce dalla collaborazione tra CasermArcheologica, esperienza di rigenerazione urbana a base culturale dedicata ai linguaggi artistici del contemporaneo, e Aboca Museum, il museo delle erbe che tramanda e studia la storia della salute attraverso il millenario rapporto tra l’uomo e le piante. Le due realtà, le cui sedi affacciano entrambe su Via Aggiunti a Sansepolcro, ad aprire e chiudere la “Strada dei Musei”, hanno collaborato al progetto apportando le proprie specifiche competenze. Le opere e le piante Il giardino del futuro è un percorso sperimentale che tiene insieme l’allestimento vegetale e le opere dell’artista Andrea Salvatori, sculture in ceramica che a partire dall’argilla assumono forme diverse, talvolta organiche, sorta di fusti e piante fantastiche come gli Ikebana o Little sogni d’oro. In altri casi le opere di Salvatori inducono alla riflessione attraverso accostamenti tra elementi differenti come nel caso di Invasate e Pure Gold:l’artista in questi casi usa oggetti in ceramica recuperati, come statuine e vasi comprati in mercatini dell’usato, in cui inserisce elementi stranianti. Altre opere, ancora, invitano più chiaramente alla riflessione, anche grazie ai titoli, come autoritratto/introspezione, in cui la statuina è intenta nello sforzo ginnico di nascondere la testa in una voluminoso blocco di ceramica. A pervadere la grande sala, un percorso verde composto da oltre 80 piante di ogni dimensione. Per questo allestimento, Aboca Museum ha creato un percorso narrativo sulle capacità della natura di resistere ai cambiamenti climatici. Fin dal passato più remoto, le specie vegetali hanno dimostrato di essere in grado di adattarsi alle condizioni più estreme. Protagoniste di questa selezione botanica sono quindi quelle piante narratrici di storie peculiari di resilienza: il ginkgo e il suo viaggio nel tempo, il pino e la sua tattica difensiva contro gli incendi, l’edera e la sua opera di rinnovamento dei boschi, ecc …
“Raccontare Il giardino del futuro è raccontare quelle piante che “ce la faranno”, tutte quelle specie vegetali che singolarmente o coralmente hanno già dimostrato di saper adattarsi e adeguarsi alle difficoltà ambientali per superarle. Ma ne Il giardino del futuro c’è anche altro: è un giardino composto inoltre da specie vegetali che quotidianamente si attivano per intervenire negli squilibri ambientali, limandone gli effetti devastanti e salvaguardando così, insieme ai loro ecosistemi, anche il nostro”, dichiara Anna Zita Di Carlo, Direttrice di Aboca Museum.
“Il giardino del futuro è popolato di personaggi che raccontano il disorientamento, l’aggirarsi straniati degli esseri umani per questo pianeta verde, un po’ goffi, un po’ brillanti, capaci di grandi invenzioni ma altrettanto miopi nelle lunghe distanze. Occhi e sembianze umane emergono da sassi dai colori improbabili, e popolano universi sulla soglia tra l’ironia e la preoccupazione, come il Memento mori – teschio che sbuca da un vasetto capovolto, recuperato da un qualche salotto di famiglia.” Così scrive Laura Caruso nel testo introduttivo alla mostra. Il visitatore può così lasciarsi sorprendere dallo scoprire un giardino rigoglioso dietro una porta all’interno di una sala di Palazzo Muglioni: un tempo nobile dimora, poi palestra della Scuola Giovagnoli, oggi spazio di CasermArcheologica, dalle cui pareti emergono decorazioni e vecchi fregi a raccontare le tante storie umane che qui sono passate.
La mostra è visitabile dal 9 Marzo al 28 Aprile 2024 tutti i giorni, anche sabato e domenica
