Le associazioni aretine di categoria Confcommercio e Confesercenti esprimono così il loro dissenso in una nota congiunta. “Il Comune di Arezzo ieri – 12 marzo – ci ha invitato ad una riunione che si è svolta stamattina – 13 marzo – per annunciare che dal 1° maggio la tassa di soggiorno subirà aumenti sostanziali”, prosegue la nota. “A suscitare la nostra contrarietà c’è prima di tutto il metodo utilizzato dal Comune: nessun preavviso, nessuna concertazione, nessun rispetto della tempistica con cui il mercato turistico si muove a livello nazionale e internazionale. Gli operatori ci segnalano il rischio di un effetto boomerang che non farà bene all’immagine della città”. Oltre che sul metodo, le due associazioni intervengono anche sull’opportunità dell’aumento. “Disporre a metà stagione addirittura un raddoppio delle cifre ci pare francamente inopportuno, visto che, nel frattempo, la nostra destinazione non ha raddoppiato il suo valore sul mercato turistico. Perché il Comune non pensa piuttosto a recuperare i mancati introiti dell’imposta con tutti gli strumenti introdotti dalle ultime norme, mettendo in campo una reale politica di contrasto al fenomeno dell’abusivismo?”. “L’Amministrazione per fortuna ha compreso che sarebbe stato impossibile intervenire ora ritoccando i contratti già stipulati con i tour operator e i turisti individuali, se non con un costo solo a carico delle nostre imprese, per i quali sarà quindi prevista l’adozione di un meccanismo di salvaguardia con l’esenzione dall’aumento”, concludono le due associazioni aretine del terziario.
