CORTONA – Co.Agri.A. esprime la propria soddisfazione per l’inaugurazione della prima «Demo farm» Ferrero. Il taglio del nastro è avvenuto stamani all’istituto agrario Angelo Vegni di Capezzine di Cortona. Ad aprire la giornata è stato il dirigente scolastico Luciano Tagliaferri, seguito dal sindaco di Cortona Luciano Meoni e dal coordinatore dell’iniziativa, il professor Marco Mearini, docente della scuola.
Ad illustrare le caratteristiche del progetto sono stati Federico Laudazi, responsabile Agribusiness Italia di Ferrero Hazelnut Company ed Ivan di Seri, responsabile agronomico per il centro Italia sempre di Ferrero Hazelnut Company. Presenti gli studenti e gli insegnanti dell’istituto agrario. A concludere l’incontro è stato Angiolino Mancini, presidente di Co.Agri.A., il consorzio di imprese agricole aretine che ha realizzato la prima filiera locale di aziende produttrici di nocciole «Made in Toscana» da destinare alla produzione Ferrero. La «Demo farm», o noccioleto sperimentale, ha un’estensione di un ettaro e si trova a pochi passi dalla sede dell’istituto agrario. Gli impianti sono stati realizzati a marzo 2023 e nel giro di 4/5 anni vedranno la produzione delle prime nocciole. Questa coltivazione permetterà agli studenti dell’istituto agrario di conoscere le caratteristiche tecniche di questa produzione e di aumentare le proprie competenze. Ferrero sta aprendo in tutta Italia altri 5 noccioleti modello, quello cortonese è il primo ad essere inaugurato. «Siamo particolarmente lieti di questa alleanza con l’istituto Vegni – ha dichiarato Angiolino Mancini, presidente di Co.Agri.A. – fra le prime idee quando abbiamo fondato il nostro consorzio c’è stata proprio quella di coinvolgere questa scuola che rappresenta un’eccellenza per il comparto agro industriale. Grazie alla rete di 25 imprese del nostro consorzio, abbiamo da poco consegnato a Ferrero 7 tonnellate di nocciole, interamente prodotte in Toscana. Esprimiamo pertanto la nostra soddisfazione per la decisione dell’istituto Vegni di dare un ulteriore contributo di sviluppo a questo progetto».
